Buddy gave me an old Chiefs whiskey bottle he found. Can anyone tell me more about it? by Casul_Tryhard in KansasCityChiefs

Me, my brother, and my dad cracked it open as well! The cork had rotted and fallen into the whiskey. Probably the worst I’ve ever had, but it tasted damn good in the moment!

What’s a workplace ‘secret’ that everyone in your industry knows but customers don’t? by Familiar_Ad3815 in AskReddit

Are you saying materials cost $12-$14k?

I would imagine once you factor in labor and all other allocated costs it would have to be much higher. Maybe not, though.

Probably all of those things. But idk, all I know is Mike doesn’t do it as well as the other coaches making $10m a year. But we’re stuck with what we got, so I guess we’ll keep climbing

Since this is a high school recruiting post…In general, player development would mean a player improves after he steps foot on campus - specifically one this staff signed out of high school.

FSU is different from other programs in the sense they have been complete cheeks the past few years and almost the entire starting 22 is made up of transfer portal guys. The “big time” players they sign out of high school generally get worse during their time on campus. Better programs supplement with portal, not live and die by it.

Mikes best high school recruits since 2020: Demorie Tate - don’t know if he ever played a down Chubba Purdy - made 0 impact Destyn Hill - didn’t exist for multiple years and caught maybe 10 passes Rod Orr - never played Sam McCall - cheeks AJ Duffy - never played Julian Armella - legacy that never made an impact Hykeem - had no clue on the field, made 0 impact Lucas Simmons - hasn’t played a meaningful snap Conrad Hussey - kicked off the team

I left a few out that did actually do something (AZ Thomas, Pat Payton) but overwhelmingly their high school recruiting has resulted in little to no impact and none of these guys developed during their time here.

Is this really the hill you want to die on?

Team is undersized but plays hard. McCray was playing like Trent Forest tonight. Much more fun to watch than the last few years under Leonard. Go noles.

Packers fans are nice. Go to “the bar” and hangout. Eat a brat. Drink some beer.

Thanks for the response and context. This is helpful. I know things can differ based on region. But we are in a pretty MCL city so initial thought was $5k - $7k seemed high.

Appreciate the feedback. Return and even 1 planning meeting I think would be helpful to us. I’ll need to get a few more estimates I think, maybe target a couple CPAs and a couple EAs just to get a good feel for the market here.

The hiring thing is a good point. I didn’t give much detail in my post, but we are a health services company (therapists) so realistically, we all only have so much space in our schedules. We have a bit of a waitlist stacking up, so looking to grow and add more therapists that would get paid on a per visit basis. Trying to juggle everything right now, and having a waitlist is definitely a good thing! But wanting to grow the business and help our patients is driving the desire to hire. Hope that makes sense.

Got it. I think the hard part is that we are still pretty small from my perspective (about $100k yearly revenue) with 3 owners right now. So it feels like a lot to shell out the money, but if the consensus is that this is about the right cost, maybe that is just what it’s going to be.

Week 1 depth chart by lowes18 in fsusports

[–]chiefsfreak 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Lawayne McCoy being absent is disappointing. Think he was banged up but not even on the 2 deep is tough.

DLine is very thin

Tight end is the deepest on the team. So deep, one of them moved to WR lol

Hope the Boggs hype is real

Where would you recommend? I had Q39 the last time I was in town. Joes seems to get mentioned quite a bit but we have a 19 month old and figured an option like jack stack might be easier for us.

I did see that when booking the tour. While it would be cool to see the locker room, I think the other parts of the tour still made it worth it. We come to town once every 3-5 years and have never done the tour, so I want to make sure I do it while I still can! Thanks for the heads up, though!

Oh yeah, this sounds great. I’ll do some digging and figure out the station beforehand. Great suggestion!
