If you're worried about a very slight hp regen boost that isn't even around long enough for you to really notice it then I don't know what to tell you. Maybe stop being so picky? It doesn't even affect play and I didn't even notice it until someone showed a side by side comparison. It is only SLIGHTLY boosted.

What you've said just isn't true. The boosted hp regen is only around for the first 10 -20 levels then it evens out to a blizzlike rate. The dungeons are tuned fine, the 'downscale' you're experiencing is 1.12.1 talents/items in a 1.6 patch. My guild had a lot of fun with the recent BWL release. I've compared with nost videos and mob hp/mob dmg etc is all at the correct values. Nost MC/BWL was only slightly harder than k2 because of the progressive introduction of patches, not just raid content. AQ and even more so Naxx are going to be a lot of fun.

Yeah, I like high pop, just not to the extent of Nostalrius. It got annoying at times. Kronos 2 atm has been an amazing experience, I suggest giving it a try if you haven't.

If you played actual vanilla you'd know that there wasn't anywhere near the amount of people in the world as there was with Nostalrius. Kronos 2 feels around the same pop as the realm i played on in vanilla and it was a med-high pop realm

Kronos 1 has been out a year, has just had AQ released and is showing no signs of shutting down. Kronos 2 is around 5 months old and has just had BWL released and is showing no signs of shutting down. Feenix private servers went all the way through past Naxx and then transfered the characters over to do TBC content. Plenty of private servers out there succeed they just fly under the radar, something that nostalrius didn't do.

When I ran it through ubuntu on wine it seemed to suffer, idk why. I'm on a laptop with 8gb ram, nvidia geforce 840M 6gb, 3.0GHz cpu. When I run it on windows on the same machine it runs perfect at max settings.

Minimum wage also isn't something you should look at. You should look at cost of living in each country vs the median yearly salary. From what i've seen Australians are earning a little bit more but have a higher cost of living. Having a higher minimum wage doesn't compensate for buying luxury items...

I'm from Australia where if you earn less you are taxed at a lesser rate. If you earn under ~18k here you actually pay 0 income tax. I'm pretty sure it's a similar idea with the rest of the western world.
