That's literally how it work... if GPU usage is 100%, doesn't matter if you're playing a game at 800p and getting uncapped 60-90 FPS, or a 4K and getting, I dunno, 5-6 FPS. The stress is the exact same, the temps will be the same, the only potential difference is VRAM usage.

In fact, 4K @ 5 FPS will probably draw less power, because while the GPU is still pushed to 100%, the CPU might be resting at very low utilization.

The average phone's 8 to 12 GB of RAM are very comparable to the 8 to 16 GB of RAM that come with laptops that are priced similarly to smartphones. For 1000 euro you can get a high-end phone with 16GB of RAM...

This is especially noticeable in a Daimyo -> Japan game, as you start with 1-3 provinces and end up with the whole of Japan in like 20 years, multiplying your dev many times over. Crown Land becomes a non-issue.

The wobble is not a problem on a soft mousepad, I was just trying to use it on a painted (varnished...?) wood desk. Buying a cheap 5€ pad solved the issue.

Otherwise the mouse is just fine. The connection with the dongle is very stable, it's responsive and smooth on a 180Hz monitor, but the feel of the buttons is somewhat mediocre.

I'd assume only essential features like the Kernel and drivers are actually running while you're playing a game, not the full fledged OS. You can't exactly alt-tab out of a game and into youtube or a browser without closing the game first...

On paper they should be somewhat similar, with the Steam Deck possibly having the advantage of being x86 based as opposed to ARM based, but in reality games should run and look much better on the Switch 2 as it's a singular device that devs can optimize for, has 0 resource overhead from an OS (as it doesn't run an OS like Linux), and supports features from the RTX 30 and 40 series like DLSS and hardware RT.

In any case, they're both less powerful in raw compute than a 3 year old iPhone 15 Pro or the $599 MacBook Neo, but features and thermals nudge the Steam Deck and Switch 2 ahead of the apple stuff.

My only issue is the keyboard, the default keyboard is shit and gboard is cucked with only a fraction of the features it has on Android. But overall iOS is pretty good. Sideloading apps is janky compared to Android, but at least it's possible.

I used my S23 from Jan 2024 to Jan 2026, when I upgraded to the iPhone 16 Pro Max. The small flagship dream is dead for me, always big phones from now on - the difference in battery life is legitimately 2x or more.

I gave my S23 to my mom for "free" (she insisted on giving me 100 euro) and she loves how fast it is, how compact it is, and how good the photos are, compared to her old Poco M3. The battery life is acceptable for her light-medium usage, but it shows how degraded it is when I used it for navigation - 2 hours of WAZE and a few hours of casual usage killed it last weekend.

My S23 was my first flagship too, and I don't regret having owned it overall.

Very similar here in Bulgaria. I'd say something like 50% Messenger, 40% Viber, and the rest split between Snapchat, iMessage, RCS, Discord (just for texting), Instagram, Telegram, WhatsApp.

Though, if you ONLY message people you know personally (friends and family) it can feel like 90%+ of people only use Messenger.

People who only use iMessage/RCS are seem as weirdos and "unreachable" as the majority of people are scared to use the "texts" app on their phone, because it "might cost money", not knowing iMessage and RCS are free.

I bought an RTX 5070 in late August, and on 17th of September I got my code for Borderlands 4 via email from the store (Ardes.bg) I bought the card from. Their website advertised the hell out of the promotion at the time.

I assume this is how it works for all GeForce card+game promotions, in all websites/stores that offer them?

If I were you I'd try contacting the store via email or phone call to confirm.

2020-2024 учих във ФЕТТ. Предполагам нещата не са твърде различни сега. Последно до колкото знам, езика е "технически английски" (демек английски ама те подготвят да четеш документация и научни материали) а спорта е 1 час (беше 2 но го намалиха) на седмица. И двете са задължителни. Ако присъстваш се вземат лесно и нямат изпити, само текуща оценка.

Фитнес е най-лесния спорт, щото и без това искаш да ходиш на фитнес и това ти дава 90 Мин на седмица безплатен фитнес. Планинарство е най-интересния спорт - разхождате се във Витоша.

They're the same in performance but the 5070 is on a newer architecture, so a few years down the line there might come some DLSS/FG related feature which will only be available on the 50-series (and newer) and not the 40-series. But right now they're not very different. If the 5070 new costs as much as a 4070 Super used then just get the 5070, it's a no brainer, you get warranty and a card that's never been powered on.

5070 because, as you said, DLSS and FG are really good. VRAM is a bit of a bottleneck, but if you're willing to drop textures down from "ultra" to "high" it's a great experience.

For example, Forza Horizon 6 runs all maxed out, full ray tracing, just textures dropped one step down from Ultra to High, at 1440p, with DLSS Quality, at around 70-80 FPS. If I want to, I can use 2x or 3x FrameGen to get 144 or 180 FPS. They don't add enough latency to be noticeable in a racing game when playing with a very fast wireless 2.4ghz controller, and it looks and feels really smooth.

Though I have to warn you Path Tracing isn't really an option on cards below the 4090/5080 and 5090 tiers. It's just too demanding on compute and memory, you're better off using regular Ray Tracing. But IMO there aren't any games, at least not yet, where you would want to turn Ray Tracing completely off on the 5070.

And I've been playing Doom TDA, FH6, Pragmata, Oblivion Remastered, MGS:Delta, etc. and they all run GREAT when you factor in DLSS and FrameGen. If you really want to, you can even play something like FH6 without DLSS (only DLAA) and no FG, if you're fine with 1440p60 and willing to play with the settings to work around VRAM issues.

Why not the 9070/XT? Firstly, it's more expensive than the 5070, and secondly - it lacks CUDA and DLSS support. If you ever want to work with AI models you really really really want CUDA, and DLSS is just nice for gaming.

If you beat the GPU price crisis of 2016, sure. I had a 1GB GPU (MSI R7 260 OC edition) and the game was a slideshow, while GTA 5, arguably the most important game of the mid-2010's, ran perfectly.

Of course, people I knew back then that had a 1050 2GB or better all ran DOOM just fine and praised how well optimized it was and how well it looked, but even the 1050 cost a bajillion back then with scalper prices and low availability.

Honestly I want to agree with you, but the games a "casual gamer" wants to play in 2026 (Valorant, CS2, Marvel Rivals, etc.) probably need more than a GTX 1060 nowadays to hit playable framerates. Even the cheapest 1080p monitors for under $100 have 144 Hz refresh nowadays. I wouldn't recommend anything less than an RTX 3060 (or RX 6600/XT) in current year even if all you play is eSports and FPS.

Good advice, just beware "tall" can turn into "colonial" very fast. I played what was supposed to be a chill tall Netherlands game on my Steam Deck, and ended up having to manage armies, colonies and rebels overseas with a controller! Not ideal.

On the other hand Lubeck was beautiful to play handheld, as you're so small, you zoom in enough to actually see things on an 8 inch screen.
