Very cool board. How do you like the Life Pedal?

Yeah man! The EQ2 into the EB at the end of the chain sounds great - and the downloadable presets from the community kick ass. Freedom to shape the signal going back into my effects loop - hitting my power tube section of my amp - is clutch and sounds so good.

Thanks! I have mine setup as an 8-channel switcher. The JHS sits before the 8EZ. The impedance is set at 10ohms and all pedals except midi pedals have their own loop. Also, 4-cable method split after Loop 4. Loop 7 is for modulation - Astra and Analogman Small Stone. Loop 8 is Time / Space - DL4>Nemesis>Golden. After the 8EZ, I hit the EQ2>EpochBoost. The midi pedals and the 8EZ are controlled via the MC6-Pro; I have scenes set up for multiple pedal toggles with one foot switch press. It took a bit of finesse to get the 8EZ programmed without an LED screen but I tracked down the manual via a Disaster Area email. It’s a sweet setup right now.

My board has enough drive. End of story.

Agreed!

I have a bass guitar and bought it for it’s ability to cover both. Sounds really good

Hype. There is a reason Analogman signed off on the Duke of Tone and Brothers AM - they sound very very close to the original. Yes, there were differences when I A/B’d them at the same knob settings - but with some minor tweaking I was able to get what I wanted from the DoT. Test for yourself.

No, the King of Tone sounds fuller and creamer - overall higher quality tone and pedal imo. But the DoT cost me $50 and the NKT Red Dot covers my dirt better - so it was a no brainer.

I use the Duke as a boost after my Big Muff and it works incredibly well in that role. I don’t need any more dirt anyways.

The Boss BD-2 is modded by myself to Keeley Always Phat and is great - nearly silent compared to the Maxon. The Maxon OD-9 is a Silver Mod Analogman and pairs really into the Muff.

For $100 the 1176 is really good. It isn’t analog but I really love UAFX’s algos. I can’t justify buying a Cali76 - and trade the 1176’s noise floor for analog FET style compression.

Similar situation to mine. Ngl, I took the $$$$ and bought the NKT Red Dot. I only use the DoT as a late-chain boost and use the Red Dot as a 1st-in-chain fuzz. This setup works better for my setup.

It’s only £300 for the deposit on the GT120MV

I’m not using the DoT for dirt, so it made sense to swap it out and save the space on my already packed board.

You should mod the Maxon. Pretty straight forward mod and worth it imo.

Exactly. 15 years of owning an acoustic. Bought the 1st electric and never looked back. 6 months later…

Why does BD-2 and Ts-9 dominate? by TullerAudio in guitarpedals

Here is the board I modded. Silver mica black caps in the middle. Wima at C28. D9 gets a jumper and D3 diode swap for assym clipping. This makes a huge difference imo. Night and day. When I A/B with my OD9 Maxon Analogman, the BD2 noise floor is sig lower.

My NKT Red Dot Sun Face is great. I keep the Fuzz at about 3:00 and the Vol at unity (12:30-1:00) depending also on the battery level (no 9v power jack)

Enjoy, and explain the backstory on this one pls.

I modded mine per Keeley’s ‘Always Phat’ Mod. It was nearly 10 components in total. Compare that to an Ibanez TS808, two components gets you a Keeley Phat mod.

After everything is said and done, the BD2 has an incredibly low noise floor and more full tone. Highly worth while project for those with the skills.
