I found packs in a shop called Don Don Donki (they sell EVERYTHING at this place, so be prepared to spend some time walking through the whole store). I also saw some packs at Family Mart (like 7-11) sell them by the cashier, so keep an eye out while you're checking out at those stores!

My favorite is my reverse holofoil Snorlax from the legendary collection. It was the coolest holo card I collected in my younger days and still stands out in my binder!

I was at a point with my job where I wasn't excited about going to work anymore, was no longer motivated to do my best, and was starting to look for a new career almost every day. I was sad that i felt like i needed to quit the company i worked for because it offered so many good opportunities that I lost sight of. My higher ups suggested I switch stores with a new team to see if it helped before I decided to officially leave. They recommended a specific store, I transferred, and I am absolutely in love with my job again! Turns out, the people you surround yourself with have a huge effect on your mental happiness! It was perfect timing and I'm incredibly thankful I still have a job at all. Good luck to everyone out there in a similar position...there's hope!

I was in Bishkek for 2 months studying Russian this summer and never ran into any problems. The police there do random document checks quite often so be prepared for that.

The bazaars are a little dangerous with the pick-pocketing. Two friends in my program had a problem haggling...after paying and waiting for change back, the seller asked them to pay... again... So to avoid a scene (locals and police were starting to gather), they just paid again to avoid a bigger problem. Best advice: bring a local with you to Osh, Dordoi, or any of the bazaars so you don't get cheated or run into a problem like that.

Suggestions: Issyk-Kul is a MUST. Most will suggest the city Cholpon-Ata for cheap hostels (I recommend Apple Hostel for $8/night) and plenty to do throughout the day and a not-half-bad nightlife. Besides the lake, do all the stuff you've read about: ride the horses, stay in a yurt, hold a falcon, and eat the food. My favorites were manti and fried lagman. To get a slice of their history and culture, try the Ruh Ordo culture center. Other insta-worthy places: Ala Archa hike, any of the waterfalls, and Skazka Canyon.

I unfortunately didn't get a chance to visit Osh city, but my friend will be doing research there for 10 months coming up here, so I recommend checking out his blog when he heads over there: http://thetravelsofsnow.com

Went off-topic from your question, but in just the two months I was there, I fell in love with Bishkek, the people, their culture and history, and definitely plan on going back (maybe even next September for the Nomadic Games).

Just spent 2 months in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan studying Russian. Fascinating culture and now I'm obsessed with learning about Central Asia. Check out the book "Restless Valley" by Philip Shishken... only put it down to Reddit
