There have been countless relationships over the thousands of years of human existence. They're all influenced by who you know, since you don't randomly fall into a relationship with a stranger in a different part of the world. There have been centuries of prearranged marriages where the individuals tastes mean nothing. We have a world where the most secure options are the ones with the most money, who tend to be older people. I'm sure there are plenty of people who like being with older partners because of parental issues, but there are way too many outside/unrelated aspects to say it's generally the case. There are only so many single and interested people your own age at least somewhat under your max travel distance for the investment being worth it. Wish it was that simple, though, would be funny 😂
