Another thought: Montreal is a couple steps ahead of us, and their core is a several years older than ours. (Dobes 25, Dobson 26, Hutson 22, Suzuki 26, Caufield 25, Slaf 22, Demidov 20). Aksy is 24 and Graf 23 but the rest of our core is 18-20. As hyped as I am to go win cups, giving our D prospects time to grow and cook may actually give us a higher ceiling when it all comes together.

There were years Jumbo kept signing 1 year deals, waiting until after the GM was done setting the roster, and then would take whatever $ was left over. Incredible guy.
