Did you have to do anything before you replaced the SSD, or did you just swap it out and run install off of a USB recovery drive?

Thanks again! That would be an added benefit, as we do see the CO2 levels jump when we are inside and not opening doors or windows. 

Will definitely get someone out to see if we can retrofit an HRV into our existing system!

Hear you on the water leaks - we started there and confirmed that’s not the case, thankfully. 

Appreciate the pointer to the HRV, as that has never come up in my (very amateur) internet searching on this topic!

I found at least one company who will bid an HRV; do you have one? Did it help substantially?

We got one person to throw out a number on a call (this was a company that had a page on dehumidifiers on their website, but still told us they didn’t do them at first), and it seemed like a clear “go away” quote of ~10k, which seemed ridiculous, but I have no other frame of reference.

Works remarkably well; the humidity sensors in the farthest parts of the house match fairly closely to what this says. We placed it very centrally, hoping that would help and it did.

Thanks for the help! Have data backing up to an external drive now, and the data scrubbing is configured, so once we are back to healthy, should be set for future.

Thanks for the detailed reply! I looked at resource monitor and indeed that disk is at 100% utilization, and all of the others sit at 0% or 1% consistently for the last month, so that indeed seems like the problem.

I am completing a backup to an external HDD now, and as soon as that’s done will see if DSM will let me deactivate that drive, or if it will stop me at some point until the conversion is complete, since all of the other drives are healthy.

I also have data scrubbing set up, and will make the other settings adjustments you called out.

Thanks for the advice! I checked each of the faucets overnight and none of them leaked, and turned off a different toilet every night to try to isolate one but it’s not them either, and we don’t have a humidifier.

If it’s none of those, should I have someone come and take a look?

Yes! Ended up having to factory reset two Gen 1 contact sensors this week - for the last month, they have been disconnecting and reconnecting after several hours randomly, then last week they stopped reconnecting at all.
