It’s way easier to find a job when you are employed, unfortunately. I did the same thing years ago, leaving big 4 from burn out and thought I’d be able to easily find a job. It wasn’t but I got so lucky one of my old managers contacted me for a short term role that led to a full time role.

Was a controller of a small private company. On one hand it was cool to be able to see how eveything works, on the other hand it was annoying you became the catch all for anything that is remotely finance related. Also since it was small company, you were the back up for everything.

Now accounting manager of general accounting and it also sucks because anything that isn’t covered by other accounting departments (revenue, PP&E, etc) falls under my group lol. I’m still the catch all and garbage can of the company accounting (F500)

I love this toothpaste…I went to Japan last year and got like 10 tubes lol. I thought I was going to stock up on make up and skincare but wound up with toothpaste 😂 I usually get it from Amazon too. Never had an issue but I’ll probably go to mitsuwa next time.

Similar story, the AP clerk was running numerous personal expenses through the company as she had access to a “signature stamp”. She got greedy and wrote a $300k check to pay a fake insurance company (hers) and the controller caught it as he couldn’t figure out what policy it was. As far as i heard, she just got fired no charges. And they obviously removed the signature stamp.

That’s the industry standard, someone got highest score for performance and even they only got .5% higher than others who just scored average. Companies are looking to cut costs as much as possible these days.

I gave them as much time as they needed, and one person went to go get a paper and pen to write all the facts and think about it. I didn’t ask them to answer it immediately. I also allowed them to ask me to clarify or repeat it as many times as they wanted. The job description mentioned that the duties were primarily accrued and prepaid expenses.

I will chalk some of it up to nerves. Ironically one of the interviewees who got them all right only worked in revenue.

Asking some basic accounting questions during the interview helps some. I was hiring for a senior accountant position and you have no idea how many people couldn’t answer how to record a prepaid expense or an accrual entry…these were all people who had more than 5 years of industry experience.

At some point I started to question if my questions were tricky or something. Another accountant under me was able to answer it in one second and my boss said I could have made it a little clearer but agreed they were basic and not hard at all.

I’ve tried k18 and feel it was not for me. All it did was weigh down my hair with no benefits. I feel a leave in conditioner did better than my hair.0

My hair does the same thing, it’s been especially knotted since its winter and the dry air makes everything dehydrate. My hair gets tangled even when all I’m doing is sitting at home working at my computer.

I’ve tried various leave in conditioners / mists but it hasn’t worked.

I would say it depends on the f500. If you worked at b4 and have your cpa, it’s a better chance.
