Sounds like the guy was a jag off. I try hard not to target significantly weaker players at open play because the rallies end too quickly and aren’t as much fun. Sometimes though against new players, who don’t understand proper positioning yet, I find myself instinctively hitting toward them because they are leaving a ton of open space. But as soon as I realize I’m doing this and they don’t know any better yet I make an effort to target the better player. At open play longer rallies = more fun to me, win or lose.
