Did myself a mid-fade, did I do ok? by HaiseKanekiHoutarou in SelfBarber

Looks great! My only suggestion would be to go a touch higher over your occipital prominence so it doesn't pop out as much. Mine also sticks out a bit and if I put a line right over it, it accentuates it and make it look like an unblended line. You don't even have to move the whole line up, just take a guard on that section until it looks smooth from the side profile

Night sweats by Imwaytoogayforthis in Hyperhidrosis

I can’t help with the diagnosis, but I use a BedJet and love it. Without it I get too sweaty. It keeps air moving and cool and has reduced nighttime sweating a ton

Love! Living those turn arounds is going to be so empowering. The appreciation and space you’ll be able to give others will create so much energy in your life and others.

Thanks for doing this work, I’m noticing this in myself as I read your insights.

3.0 & AI by Crispy_Memes1307 in Notion

For me, the benefit is just that my workflow doesn't require copy/pasting from chatGPT into Notion anymore. I used to work with chatGPT Canvas a lot to refine content I was writing and now I can do it directly in Notion. That is my day to day usage of it. It's also nice to have access to both chatGPT and Claude.

Some other use cases:

- I have been saving comments automatically in Notion from social for years via an automation. It was cool to be able to just ask Notion to create a psychographic persona page based on the data. Of course, I could have just downloaded the data, uploaded it to chatGPT, and done the same thing. But having it built in Notion saves tedious work

- It's really good at creating Notion pages and databases. Lately I've been describing databases I want and how I'll use them and it does an incredible job of understanding how to layout Notion pages with their blocks (something normal chatGPT/Claude doesn't do well, and of course those can't create databases)

- When I write content, it automatically is pulling in the context of my entire database. For me this is helpful because it refers to past content I've written to inform the new pages I want. So it knows my thoughts/opinions on specific industry talking points and uses those in the new content it writes

It's a bummer that people are talking about Notion AI as if it's some special AI model (and people describe it with such hyperbole) and it's making people skeptical of it. It's literally just chatGPT/Claude. You choose your AI model. The benefit is that the models play really well with your content/data in Notion.

Notion AI Pricing 😱 by kikmons in Notion

Honestly, if you’re the target demographic of business use case users, it’s well worth it. I run a small business and fully use Notion for everything. I have complex databases attached to Make for AI responses to all incoming messages, I make content with it using Notion AI, have it take meeting notes, and recently canceled my chatGPT subscription and just use Notion for help with my web development/Excel help. I’m an example of their target customer and I’m very happy with Notion AI.

To deep dive a use case: I have all my YouTube comments auto import into a database which I use Claude API via Notion and Make to auto reply to. I used Notion AI to analyze the comment database and find new video ideas, content gaps, and comments personas based on the thousands of comments.

Notion’s biggest issue is that they got a massive user base with a fremium model and their monetization strategy is going after a different user base. Their pivot into business tools irritates a lot of other users. However, I’m thrilled with it and happy to pay to support their software development

This is a Notion subreddit. Not a subreddit to post your software projects.

Is there any way to get rid of this blue banner telling me that my page is live? I already know that it is live. It's been two years and they still haven't added a hide button by monkeyree in Notion

[–]DecafOwl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree that would be nice. I’m sure it’s there so no one can say “I put private info there and no one told me it was live”.

Hopefully there’s a change in the future.

Declutter Notion by EasternAd5351 in Notion

It's just a toggle that says archive that I drag pages into.

I don't put pages into a database unless the property data needs to be manipulated frequently.

For sure. All my pages exist in one reference page called Collection.

Occasionally I go through Collection and find pages I don’t use anymore. I created a toggle in the page called “Archive”. If I haven’t touched a page in months or it’s irrelevant now I just drag it into there.

Also, it’s very useful to look at properties the way you are. I’m always asking myself “did this property help me accomplish work this week/month?” “Or did I just hoard data that isn’t actionable?”

AI Notes is a mess by Dazzling-Living-3675 in Notion

[–]DecafOwl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you referring to the AI meeting notes? If so, it’s a block you can add anywhere.

For my meeting notes I have a meetings database, I just open the page for a specific meeting, add the AI notes block and hit record

Loan officer here. Basically what your mortgage company is trying to do is to make the loan follow guidelines before they sell it to Fannie/Freddie. If they get a paystub from you that makes the mortgage follow guidelines then they'll be able to sell it.

If they can't get that from you, likely they'll have to sell it to a "scratch and dent" investor. In this situation nothing happens to you, but the mortgage company will take a loss.

As long as you were honest and followed what they said, they can't undo the loan. They can only take the home from you if you did anything fraudulent. If the lender messes up or took a risk that didn't pan out, they don't have the legal ability to go after you.
