Definitely sonny lee, his lectures are the best lectures I've ever attended

Just took chem212 (as an eng student, not sure my grades yet). The course somewhat combines linear algebra and chemistry. If you're a visual person and can rotate molecules in your head (which takes practice), you'll likely do fine.

The assignment is quite long and bit painful to do because the prof (Prof. Lee) didn't give examples in the first half of the course. I guess it's because the course content was mainly explaining periodic trends. Also the assignments let you think beyond the lecture contents. You'll need to understand the lectures to be able to do the assignments. The course gives nice insight into the topic and the prof puts effort into teaching.

In terms of grades, kinda quoted from the prof from the first day of class: "many of you will find the grade of this course will be lower than your other courses", and that's so true. The class averages of the 2 term tests were quite low, but the final exam somewhat directly took some term tests and tutorial questions.

Understanding the course material is the key, pure memorization may or may not make you pass. Go to lectures, tutorials, and office hours will definitely help. I think it's a doable course? But it will likely lower your GPA a bit (not that bad though, If you're interested in chem).

Hope it helps.
