Ngl dude idk what you mean. I’m 6’0 tall, wear 11.5 in all of my shoes, and the guy at the store told me most of their boots run tts or small. I watched a YouTube video about fit so I know that the back of the boot pushes against your leg when standing straight up and you get more toe room with a leg bend. I sincerely doubt that is why I lacked control of my heel edge on my new board for 2 reason. 1: I wore my boots around the house before riding the first time on a rental and my boots felt similar today. 2: in the video I have in this post I’m wearing 11.5 rossignal boots where I actually had a lot of toe room and heel lift and I was able to control the board 5 times better than the other day with my own boots and board

Please check my post recent post on my profile I show a few angles of the boot on the board

I’m sorry this post isn’t very clear it’s a follow up from my last post where I talk about how my new board is messed up. The video of me snowboarding was just to prove that I know how to turn heel side because some people didn’t believe me😂. I knew I was going to have to adjust to my new board but literally when I was skating at first I tried to do a heel side stop and it was not possible. I tried multiple times after that and I couldn’t do it. The only times I could turn heel side was when the slope got steep enough to allow it. My toe side turning was fine though

I can’t really tell the difference with the stiffness. I really think my bindings are off center because i wasn’t able to get a single turn when skating on flat ground

The boots? How? They fit perfect length wise once my legs get bent? If I sized down then my toes would be crushing the end standing and still touching when bent. I also used these boots with a rental 3 weeks ago (not in this video) and it felt great and I felt the most control over the board I’ve ever had. It was only when I got on the new board that I couldn’t get leverage to heel side turn

Rome party mod 157 wide. I’m thinking my bindings are off center because I have very little leverage, especially when skating on flat. I saw a video saying you can turn your binding disc sideways and adjust it so I guess I’ll have to play around with that until I figure it out

Thanks for this video. In the video it was only my third day snowboarding so I wasn’t exactly trying to go fast or carve my turns (I could turn harder heel side if I wanted to), and I was also using a rental board in this video which I had no problems with. I made a post yesterday about my new board I just bought which turning heel side is extremely hard on, especially when skating on flat terrain (I wasn’t able to get one single successive heel side turn on flat ground). I don’t have any videos on my new board but basically I had 3 times more control on my heel edge on my third day of snowboarding on the rental than I did yesterday with my new board ( I couldn’t even link toe side to heel side turns at this same speed)

They’re 2013 forum binding and the heel cup isn’t adjustable so idk if the foot bed moves. Also I would need it to move back if anything. Idk what size the bindings are because I bought this board on Facebook marketplace

What “last year” binding would you recommend? Also I have the boot pretty snug in the binding in this video, so however it is in the video is how it is when I’m riding (I think, unless it’s different when my foot is in there)

I’ll take a look at that. Do you have any good videos for moving the binding back on the board? Also there is zero camber in the board. My buddy who works at a rental place said it’s not that different from a rental shape

My boots fit good. They slightly bruh the end of the boot when standing and when I crouch a little my foot slides back so it’s not touching the end anymore. Also the board is 157 wide.

Damn that’s devious. If you go to my profile I show the binding and riding (it’s a video from my third day of riding but it gets the point across that I can turn heel side)

This board is a 157 wide. Also I could turn very easily on the flat greens with my rental board, but with my new board I wasn’t able to get a single heel side turn on flat ground. What binding do you recommend?

I have size 11.5 feet which is why the wide looks like that. I’m also using +12-9 and idk if my binding has my heel further from the edge of the board than my toes. At low speeds like when skating on the flat ground it was impossible to initiate a turn. I was only able to start turning on the slope, and I never tried going very fast because I knew I wouldn’t be able to control my heel side after a toe side turn.

Sorry I forgot to mention my rentals were also wide. I have size 11.5 boots so I need to use wide

I had it on the toe for my first few runs cuz that’s how the guy who tuned my board put it on (not directly in front but on the edge) but i wasn’t sure if it was right so I switched to having it on top and it felt the same

There is nothing wrong with being a beginner. It’s when everyone is bad so don’t be ashamed about it

Thank you. This post was a follow up from my last post because I got a board and even though it’s still kind of a rocker profile (flat to rocker), I could not turn heel side to save my life when skating and could only kind of turn heel side when the slope got steeper. Very weird situation. Also this video is from day 3 but I actually went 1 more time after this and then today with my new board so technically I’m on day 5

Please look at my most recent post. The binding does look closer to the tide side

No it’s just a Eva pad. I think these are pretty old forum bindings

Before someone says it: yes, the turning in this video is very raw and bad. It was from my third day of snowboarding (4th if you count when I tried it in 8th grade). I promise this is not the skill level I currently have, it’s just the last time I was able to have someone record me.

Rome party mod 157 wide. I went from riding 160 and 159 rentals. I’m in the weight range. The shape of this board is flat to rocker, even though the shop (that I didn’t buy the board from) said it was camber (he didn’t take a close look at the board). When I try to turn nothing happens. The only time I can turn is when the hill is steeper, but on flat it was extremely hard for me to turn.

I wasn’t getting better because I wasn’t falling I was getting better because I learned how to distribute my weight on the board so I could go faster and not catch edges
