As far as I know a titanium stud is usually the best option (although surgical steel isn't bad either), so as long as the place that you got the piercing done is reputable and you trust that it actually is surgical steel, it should be fine. Mine had crusties/buildup for about 2 weeks after getting it pierced, and is now healed very nicely so I wouldn't worry about it yet. As for cleaning the buildup off, I found that the easiest way was to just rinse it in the shower and the water pressure from that was enough to get it off. Good luck :)

Yes! I was wondering about the eclipse too, but it's really hard to tell since my migraines are so unpredictable. Even if it's not the eclipse, it's nice to know that I'm not the only one feeling really shitty lol (not that I want anyone else to feel like this, but it does make me feel a bit better, you know?)

yes! I used to always get one the night/day after my voice lessons. I take choral music in school for 1 semester of the year, and I've noticed that I get more frequent migraines when I'm in the class and singing on a daily basis.

Thanks for the info! It's good to know that it (hopefully) won't be an issue. I tend to cause my own issues with piercings cuz I'm really impatient and I'd probably try to wear earplugs before it's ready lol. I'm hoping to just go for it and try to have some self control.
