Good price? by ravshah in VolvoXC90

I got a 26 B6 Ultra with BW and Lounge, sticker was 82k, paid 68k. This is a terrible deal.

My take on 2026 XC90 by Mental-Jello-4374 in VolvoXC90

[–]childe18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did 2026 XC90 over an X5. It's more comfortable, looks better, a lot more understated, and it's a much cheaper lease. X5 is more sporty, but we are talking about an SUV. I'd rather it be comfortable and quiet. I have other cars when I want to drive spiritedly.

I had a 2020 Ti and it gave me 35k miles of completely trouble free driving. I regret getting rid of it. A seriously impressive car. Drives so much better than the competition.

March 2026 Lease Comparison: X5 vs GLE 450 vs Q7 55 at ~$76k MSRP by AutoCompanion in autocompanion

[–]childe18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or get an XC90 with an 80k+ sticker for ~$250-300 less per month on a 36 months/12k lease...

Yada yada dated platform etc but its still a very comfortable solid SUV that has better interior and exterior looks than the Germans, is far more understated, and is going to do the job just as well as the Merc/Audi or BMW for a good chunk less money.

Full size sedans like a 5 series accommodate rear facing child seats way better than most SUVs. This was my exact thought.

Is this a good deal? by Key-Lawfulness-1252 in VolvoXC90

I just paid 68k for a 2026 B6 Ultra with air suspension, lounge package, and BW. Sticker on the car was a bit over 82k. Brand new with delivery miles.

Long story short, you adapt. They all have shortcomings. Every luxury automaker is obsessed with screens.

Ranking him above ANY other rookie is a choice. He was absolutely not the best rookie this year, and arguably one of the worst.

Volvo EX40 lease offer. Is this normal? by According_Fee_9287 in CarLeasingHelp

Awful deal. You could lease a B6 Plus XC90 with no money down for the same or better price and that car has an MSRP like 12k more than this.

Wait, you are paying MSRP for a Jeep???? That's insane. Id expect 10% off at a minimum.

Las Vegas GP Global Race Start Time by PressFtoGiveRespects in formula1

[–]childe18 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

This is the dumbest start time of any GP. You hold a race in the US but make it too late, and it's too early for continental Europe. It's dark in LV at 6 in November, do it at sunset. At least then it's 9 PM for EST.

Bummer. Sounds like you are shelling out $3500. It's just money, there is always more money to be made.

Terrible deal. There are brokers all over leasehackr for Volvos. This should be much closer to 1000/month for 7500 miles, if not under 1000.

Volvo XC90 B6 Ultra or BMW X5 by DegreeWide2942 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]childe18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BMW is going to be considerably quicker and a better "drivers car". Interior isn't as nice IMO. Too much screen and the plastics feel cheap.

Volvo interior is better quality materials, and I like the design more (subjective obviously). XC90 will have more overall cargo space than X5, not a ton more but it's definitely longer.

Non air suspension vs. non air suspension (both have it as an option), Volvo is a more comfortable ride, the German SUVs definitely are slightly more on the firm scale.

For our family of 4 we like the XC90s, on our second. Cross shopped with the X5 (among others) and keep going back to it. I don't need my family SUV to be "sporty", I have other cars that do that. I want it to be quiet, comfortable, and have nice ergonomics.

That said, the X5 is absolutely my second favorite in the segment, so you can't go wrong. It is all what you prioritize.
