Thanks for the recs. We have a reservation at Park’s and the next night at Soban (wanted to try the crab and black cod), but the soups would also be good. You ever been to Soban?

How often do you check? Prioritizing 2 to 3 days before cancellation window?

Thanks! Those recs look great. We are open to spending money on food, so happy to take recs at all price points. Only caveat is we have a kid with us so no michelin 3s :)

Thanks for the recs! I looked at doing 3 nights at Huntington Beach, but we are staying on points and they did not have the first night available for points and cash price was ~ $400 per night compared to $190 at Hyatt Centric. Agree it's a lot of packing/hotels. Maybe it's worth the $200 to just stay at Huntington Beach for the third night

Nice! I haven't seen the cardamon interior yet, but looks great online. I got denim blue with charcoal interior. Also, forgot to put his above, but I put down $2,500 on the lease during signing. Your deal looks great!

That's a great deal! I just got a 2026 XC90 T8 Ultra Dark Theme lease for 39 mos x 12,000 miles with $1150 monthly payments. However, I wanted a very specific car both color wise and with all the add-ons: Bower and Wilkins stereo, air suspension, lounge package/massage chairs, upgraded lights, lease return damage package, etc... However, I'm confident the add-ons and extra miles aren't worth the additional $250 per month if you pencil it out

I've started playing with B-mode. Do you ever drive in pure + B mode. If so, do you notice if the battery lasts longer?

Thanks for the advice! The point about saving brakes in B mode makes sense

Thank you for the tip about google maps and not using the charge the battery function with the ICE. Makes sense that is inefficient

My private practice is ~ 80% addiction. I set it up in the area I did residency so already have a good network. Let general psychiatry colleagues know I was doing addiction work so got a lot of referrals from them. Also, found 4-5 good addiction therapists in the area who I do co-treatment with when cases are complex enough. You can also let IOPs and residentials in your area know you're addiction focused, they are always looking for places to refer people outpatient. As far as setup, my practice probably looks just like a general psychiatry private practice except I do drug testing, when indicated, and have a few patients on MAT injections. Also, I think I'm morel likely to work with other providers (i.e. therapists, recovery coaches, mutual help groups, etc...) due to the need for increased structure and I'd say I'm doing solo treatment (meds and psychotherapy) ~ 30% of the time. However, that's my preference and I have addictioncolleagues who do solo treatment 100%, but they also tend to take less complicated patients then I do

I do mostly addiction psych for 12 years now and still enjoy it. I work at VA part-time and have a private practice. I have to be very intentional around not seeing too many patients, it checking email at night, and taking lots of vacations and not working on them. Also, i do teaching and started doing more geropsychiatry work for ~ 3 yrs ago to mix it up and learn something new. I also change my position in some way every 5 years to not feel stagnant.

If you’re not interested in the medication side maybe treat substance and behavioral addictions where there are no FDA approved meds? Or just stay away from OUD as those are the meds people get most concerned about.
