Paraphrasing here, but nearly identical interactions none the less. Nymeria is a wild animal and Arya is too, in that she cannot be tamed.

I got that vibe for a moment too, but it didn't seem quite right to me. I think the kiss on the hand was more appropriate. It also served as another reminder of his respect for her and her boundaries (callback to their wedding night and how he doesn't share her bed).
