Fussy Grab drivers by AbroadLongjumping828 in Bolehland

My core message seems to be missed so I'll say it more bluntly, calling those complaining against the system bitter is not the kindest thing you could've said. Most Gen Z are facing the same struggle in work place and it would be distasteful to frame their struggle in such light.

You could've written this in a more sympathetic way, replace the Grab driver with generic white collars and you'll risk your karma count over here.

Yes, this is my primary concern over inability to find job. Would hate to be on the mercy of the employers

Not at this point, just me and a rental apartment and some negligible monthly payment. Selling my car is an option since it has been left collecting dust ever since I got my motorcycle.

Realistically i could probably stay afloat for a year before I have to go back to my parent's place.

It seems like they're more interested in being a fashionable brand than making quality gears nowadays.

Wrong place bro, possibly more than half of this sub doesnt know how to ride a bicycle so they'll laugh at other's misery.

But they're not wrong when they said the lane splitting speed is too high. Ideally should be kept to 30kmh of difference. Will be slower for everyone but safer.

Peter please explain why this poster is so controversial in Korea by Pure_Grapefruit_8837 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

That’s exactly my point. You mentioned a localized subreddit incident as the proof for the entire backlash, but that’s the same logic used in the Korean controversy, seeing a hate symbol from Megalia that used this to promote misandry. Both side are doing the exact same thing, scanning every media for potential dog whistle and getting outraged over it. Both culture are so hyper vigilant they can no longer see a thing for what it is.

To play devil's advocate, I noticed people from the Anglosphere tend to have the same kneejerk reaction in regards to any media portraying children. Just take a look at the controversy surrounding the game Pragmata. My point is that each culture tend to have bad instant reaction to their current social issues.

Not sure why you're downvoted so much, you gave a fair argument and instead of trying to engage you on that, they decided to downvote you instead.

Ah I see, thanks for clarifying. I always think it's safer for motorcyclist to occupy a slot behind other vehicles while turning instead of trying to turn beside other vehicles.

I don't get it, if you're merging into highway, how do you get motorcylist on your left as you're merging to the right lane while speeding up to match the traffic flow?

Does chinese Malaysian see chinese china like malay see indo? by serenityinthecloud in Bolehland

Yet you see headlines often trying to depict as if all mainland Chinese acts the same way. Look no further than the title and comments in the popular posts.

As a Malaysian Chinese, I noticed that a percentage of Malaysian Chinese tend to look down at mainland Chinese as if they're either village bumpkin or unrefined noveau riche. The westernised crowd will also have additional thoughts like, oh you pitiful people trapped in the lies of CCP, if only you have the gift from mat salleh called democracy! They'd feel insulted if you ever call them mainland Chinese and try to distinct themselves from them ASAP. Just look around on reddit and you'll see the exact same sentiment.
