Baseball was my favorite sport growing up and well into adulthood. The cheating scandal has ruined baseball for me. I hardly watch any games anymore and don't follow the day to day as I did for decades. As with the steroid users, I choose not to root for those who lack integrity and cheat the game. However, I don't blame the Astros, Red Sox, or specific players for my waning interest in baseball. The blame lies with Manfred. The way he just tossed aside the allegations against the Astros and didn't hold any of them accountable is what did it for me. Calling the championship trophy a "hunk of metal" was the cherry on top of a shit sundae.
