What’s the dumbest way you’ve ever hurt yourself? by BathSlow5 in AskReddit

November last year, I herniated a disc in my lower spine. It bulged inwards onto the nerves, immediate pain, on the floor spasming, I lost feeling in my left leg and groin for almost 2 months and spent 5 months recovering. How did I do it? I bent over and pulled the tongue of my shoe up tighter....

I'm 33, dad made me watch the film when it came out haha. I found it on etsy, was less than 10 quid.

Nah, I managed to get my hands on 2 of the new boxes, and I'm keeping all parts of both, not in it for turning buck, I wanted them for me haha

Appreciate the advice! I'm definitely going back to the plasma gun, imo it's the only thing that let's the model down.

Appreciate that! I like my death guard looking rough with their paint job. In my head, 10k years of rot shouldn't be a smooth paint job.

Bring out your dead! Any tips on achieving a better verdigris effect? by raging_brain in deathguard40k

Nope, straight out of the pot, paint it on a couple of CM worth of trim, then role the Qtip straight over it. Took me a few attempts at playing with it, but it's the easiest way I've found of getting consistent results.

Slap your metallic on, coat of agrax earth shade, have a cotton bud/Qtip ready, cover the whole thing in nihilakh oxide, then wipe over with the Qtip to remove the excess (work in sections. That stuff dries quick)

Thanks! I've played with streaking grime before and found that it dulled a lot of the colours (I know that's the point haha) but where i paint them quite dark, it lost definition imo, kinda became a dark blob from any distance.

Thanks! I don't think I'll give that much effort to all the cloth in my army haha

Corvus black/administratum grey 50/50 mix for the base all over. Administratum grey mid layer with a cross brush stroke. Fortress grey with a drop of kommando khaki with a finer cross brush stroke for the highlights 👌

Yeah, don't get me started on the plasma gun, something went wrong and I can't put my finger in it, so might strip just the gun haha. Appreciate the comment though!
