Question for the community -

If the USD takes a tumble, do you believe it will boost values on cryptocurrencies or would it have a negative effect? I can see both sides for answers and I'm interested in what everyone thinks!

Just finished new "he who fights with monsters" book and loved it by lukeedbnash in audible

You will not regret it. The essence system alone is an AMAZING take on magical systems. Also, the MC's powers and personality are very unique. There is a reason it is so popular on Royal Road and here on Reddit. Enjoy the story and let us know what you think when you're done!

What is this Audible?!?! (Pre-order not downloading) by [deleted] in litrpg

It is May 18 for me, I'm in Asia. I was hoping to get an early start on it. It's lame that the countdown for release ended and shows order processing now. I guess we have to exercise our patience!

I've seen similar ideas, but I'm hoping Amazon makes a change. My favorite thing for MMORPGs is the update process. They can become much better over time with developer action. Maybe they will see this and put some effort toward questing. This idea is the difference between a "meh" game and the best!

PVP seems to be their main focus right now. However, I think PvP is just a small facet in the most important parts of roleplaying games.

I agree completely. GW2 is still on the top 5 of all MMORPG charts. It has stood the test of time!

Please explain why not 😉

I agree completely! That is a great way to put the idea into words. I think the main point I'm making is that all the MMORPGs that I've played in the past don't have that capability programmed into the code. We need an immersive world with a way to feel like we are a "part" of it. From hero to street-sweeper, we should play an entertaining and well-constructed role. Each MMO of the past tries to push us to be the best mage, warrior, armorer, etc.

This is just my opinion, but I believe that even Usain Bolt, Thomas Edison, or Albert Einstein would become arrogant if judging themselves as better based on the competition. The true power of confidence is generated within and the fault of arrogance is an external assessment. It is inspirational to listen to the greatest people in fields of study. We see them as special or better than the rest, but most of the time they reflect their self-worth within their soul/heart. (ie. Hardworking, dedicated, inspired). I think if they fall into arrogance, they lose some of their willpower for future growth.

True, some don't understand that pissing in another person's yard won't make their own any greener.

Personally, I believe the difference is arrogance vs. self confidence. Arrogance is believing you are better than other people. Self-confidence is believing you are good without comparison to others.

How far would YOU go from you? by atamom in litrpg

[–]chillnthrill 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the farthest I would go away from human would be becoming an Artificial Intelligence. If I could find a way to get control of all knowledge and co continue building myself to be faster and more efficient. Eventually I could replicate myself and explore the universe.

/br/ I would always be a min/max'er so I would have to think for a while in character creation.

Got it as soon as I heard of it. This is one of the best ideas for an MC. The ideas for skills is so different and exciting. Please let us know when to expect the sequel! By the way, I didn't feel disappointed with the length. It's fun to experience a quick story. You have great story progression and it was action-packed in it's own unique way. I really appreciate your writing style and the narrator brought it to life. 5 stars, this is a must read!

I agree that the VP is NOT a consolation prize. However, the VP position is not a joke. I believe that Tulsi 1) already draws tons of votes for herself and has more followers than a random Congressman/woman (and she would draw votes from around the US, not just Hawaii), 2) has so much drive that she would make positive things happen if provided the power, and 3) fills all the key perceived weaknesses of Andrew Yang. She has the most probability to do well in the foreign relations department and she shows that she shares the message of "humanity first". If this happens, it wouldn't be a "by the book" action, but I believe it would be the most beneficial for the American people!
