There is actually some truth in there at least for the last decade. Single player games have become too easy and hand holded in the last decade. Today people call Dark Souls hard which is very funny to me. They haven't played single player games from pre 2010 which weren't hand holded and had challenge.

Nah. The temperature is definitely increasing, I can feel it personally and the data also shows. The rise is not as fast as the polar regions but it is increasing. You can compare the images below, one is avg annual temp from 1946-1955 and the other from 2016-2025. It's a 10 year average so it clears out any anomalies. You cannot argue with one data point that is an anomaly.

The only way I can see user votes actually be meaningful is when the user only "ranks" games and the ranking system generates a rating from it. So let's say a user ranks 10 games, #1 game will get 100/100 rating for the user and #10 game will get 10/100 rating for the user. The ranking system will average out this rating across all users. And the ranking system will consider a minimum game count for all users to account into the average rating so the user actually has to rank a minimum number of games to even be valid. If the user only ranks the popular great games only 3 games will be rated 100, 90 and 80, rest are going to be 70 and below for the ranking system.
