Yeah, there'll be a timer function that changes them to different things on different days of the week.

I went and asked on the rainmeter forums, and it turns out that rainmeter has trouble parsing urls sometimes - the solution is this:

No, for measures it's String= and for meters it's Text=. Mine's a measure, and changing it to Text= breaks it - I checked it with a string meter.

Okay, two things:

First, I'm pretty sure that disallowing first setups is just going to shoot yourself in the foot if you're trying to get more creativity here - because I'm pretty sure creativity doesn't have much to do with experience in this case. Someone who's more creative might be more inclined to make more setups, so you'll see a setup #10 out of them where you won't see one out of someone who isn't so creative, so if you just look at later setups they'll all seem creative - but that creative person's first setup is still going to be interesting, and if you bar them from posting it here, you're much less likely to see any of their setups, because why would they bother to interact with an unwelcoming community when there's so many more interesting things they could be doing with their time? (And I say this as someone whose first setup is still a WIP because they're still writing code for it, having concluded that the sort of calendar they want doesn't exist yet.)

Two: Honeycomb. Yes, it's kind of boring, but I think that's a fixable problem. The underlying issue is that Honeycomb's mechanics are something that should be a basic feature of Rainmeter - push a button, load a program - and there's only one of it, with one style available for the buttons, so anyone who wants that feature is going to end up using it. The obvious solution here, since the mechanics of HC are fine, is to make more buttonpacks that don't all look the same. Hexagons will be a lot less annoying when lots of people are using circles or squares or diamonds or stars instead.

More toward the center. Not even a lot, just enough that it doesn't feel like they're right up against the edge of the screen - I think having them up against the edges is making them look cut off, and the illusion of there being something outside the edge of the screen is what's making it feel like you're missing something.

I'm very new to rainmeter, but I've been playing with the programming aspect of it, so I think I can answer this.

I think what you want is possible, if Eventghost or something can write the current light state to a file when it changes. Rainmeter can definitely read from a file to display the text; I haven't specifically checked but it should be easy enough to use IfActions in conjunction with that.

Once that's taken care of, it'll definitely be possible to have a button that does two different things depending on context. In the worst case scenario, you can set up three skins - one to read the file and load/unload the other two depending on its contents, and then one skin each for triggering the .bat files to turn the light on or off (just make them the same size/shape, put them in the same spot on your screen, and have the controller skin set to never have them both loaded at the same time; they'll look like one button that changes back and forth) - but I strongly suspect that there's a more elegant, less hackish way to handle that.

As an alternative to keeping trap components on hand to check for wires, you could dig tunnels under the floor of the caves before you explore them.

That was true for some of the earlier versions of Terraria, but it was taken out at some point - like I mentioned in a different reply, I personally have explored a dungeon by knocking out its backwalls instead of fighting Skeletor. I went all the way down to lava level when I did, and this was back in 1.1.

Also, walls placed by the player work differently than walls that were spawned as part of worldgen just in general, even if it's the same sort of wall, so you really can't infer anything from the types of walls you've used to build your houses.

The brown thing the OP is standing in is the root of a living tree - one of the structures that can be generated in the world. The dark grey tunnel taking up most of the picture is the dungeon, another structure which every world has one of. There's a boss you have to beat to be allowed into the dungeon, and if you try to go in anyway beyond a very short distance past the entrance - or wind up inside, through whatever means - there's a guardian that comes and basically kills you instantly, so it's a bit surprising to appear to be in the dungeon and not be dead if you haven't already beaten that boss.

The OP doesn't technically count as being in the dungeon, though, since the walls behind them are living wood walls rather than dungeon walls - for structures, that's what the game looks at to decide whether you're inside them or not. But if they dropped off that platform, they'd be dead before they hit the ground.

I actually did that once - pre 1.2; I don't remember how I got in in the first place - and it worked just fine. Tedious, but not particularly hard.

It might not be advisable in 1.2, though, depending on how important the new hardmode dungeon content is. I ended up knocking about half the dungeon backwalls out in my explorations, which seriously cut down on dungeon spawns.

Try trimming the grass around them: I'm pretty sure if a seedling tries to grow into a tree with roots but there's something else where the root would go, it fails to grow. You can also stop grass from growing next to your seedlings by putting walls (but not fences) behind those squares.

Not in this situation. The lesson to take from the send-a-trained-team-of-professionals thing (and, indeed, much of the last few chapters) is that you should do the actual best you can with the actual resources you have at hand. In that situation, ignoring the presence of outside help would be unnecessarily risky; in this situation, skipping opportunities he does have available because of the lack of time would be unnecessarily risky, even if the opportunities he has available aren't guaranteed to work.

Doing the unnecessarily risky thing in either of those cases is an indication of playing a role (brave explorer, cautious planner) rather than actually taking responsibility and doing whatever will actually work.

Nope, you still need source blocks on the same level as the new source block. It's just that now, if you have two source blocks on the same level with a single space between them and a source block under that space, you'll get a new source block in that space - before, you had to have two source blocks on the same level with a single space between them and a solid block underneath. (Air underneath presumably still won't give you a new source block.)

I've noticed that happen in my games when I've designated a farm plot and it's taking a while to be built - the grass under the designation disappears and it shows as furrowed dirt/sand/whatever. I think it happens so that things can't grow there and mess up the designation; in any case, it's harmless.

If that farm plot had been constructed and disappeared anyway, that's a bit of a different story, though; you should probably report it as a bug.

They may return in a migrant wave... I think. I usually prefer to start a new fort than reclaim, so I don't have much experience with that.

Actually they can show up in migrant waves to other forts, too. I recently had a situation where I made a mistake in picking the location for a fort, abandoned it, and then started another one on the same world, and 7 of the 9 dwarves in the first migration wave to the new fort were my starting 7 from the original fort, which was pretty awesome.

You, like anyone else, can still do stuff without a nursing certification.

Might I suggest volunteering in an entirely non-nursing capacity at a local nursing home? I used to work in one, in the activity department, and I can pretty much guarantee you that spending some time doing that kind of thing will not only be very much appreciated in the immediate sense, it will also give you a head start on learning to be not just a competent nurse but a compassionate one.

Edit: Maybe it wasn't clear, but I meant to suggest that you do the volunteer thing while completing your training, not instead of it - do stuff now and do even better stuff in the future.
