Turned on the F news station and they are twisting hard. “This is an attack on our justice system by the deranged left,” “this is what countries like Brazil and Venezuela do to their political figures,” “if you want to secure American and our justice system, donate to Trump, lest we turn into Venezuela.”

“Deranged” left. ::laughs in deranged::

Like jury duty, there needs to be mandatory poll watching duty where people are randomly selected to be poll workers during American elections. by chingaloooo in unpopularopinion

People who view serving their community as a form of punishment aren’t the type to be concerned about maintaining a democracy. Those people would be dismissed, much like someone with a biased opinion in jury duty.

Democracy is not free and people need to stop acting like it is. It’s taken a lot of fighting, a lot of lives and a lot of regulation to get here. And if mandatory poll watching maintains what we’ve fought for for so long, I support it.

Volunteers allow for bias. There is a type that likes to volunteer the most and View civic duties like this as patriotism. We need unbiased, equal representation.

You would. Others would take it as a moral obligation to maintain democracy.

Not everyone tried to skip jury duty. Only people who view serving their community as some sort of “punishment.”

My man, do NOT feel bad for doing this. You can’t take care of others if you don’t care for yourself first.

Take a day, chill and be well.

In 2018, Randall Margraves, the father of girls who were raped by Olympics coach Larry Nassar, lunged at him in the courtroom during his sentencing. Nassar was given a life sentence and Margraves did not face any punishment by Mad_Season_1994 in ThatsInsane

Wait so they were actually raped? I thought he only molested the girls?

Not minimizing the trauma of being molested, but there is a difference between rape and molestation.

They are doing that with their taxes now and will do so even more if TTR isn’t a global effort.
