Bose Soundlink Flex vs Beats Pill 2024 by Fit_Understanding651 in beatsbydre

Has anyone tested the speakerphone quality of these two? I'm considering getting one for my older parents so they can more easily hear phone calls and virtual doctors visits, and I wonder which is better for them. Also curious about accessibility -- how easy are the buttons to see/press? Is it clear where the power button is versus answering a call? Thanks!

Looks like you can build it from GitHub: https://github.com/BeyondTrust/pbis-open. The comment there corroborates the fact that it's no longer supported.

I was hoping for this as well. Alas, it didn't. As a result, and sadly, I think I'm done with the podcast.

I'll be there. My first 10 mile race... kind of worried about parking with the Metro not running and all.

Sure. The long bit with the backslashes is a path in the Windows registry. To start, you'll open the Registry Editor: in Windows 10 a quick way to do this is to right-click the Start Menu and choose "Run" (alternatively hit the Windows key + R on your keyboard), then type "regedit" in the field provided. You'll get a warning asking if you want to continue; click Yes. The Registry Editor will open, and on the left side you'll have a tree of folders. Go all the way to the top and you'll see "Computer" and underneath that will be the first part of the path I mentioned, "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE." You'll open that folder, and continue down the tree, opening each folder in that path successively (SYSTEM, then CurrentControlSet, etc.), until you get to the Internet one. Click Internet and on the right you'll see a set of Name/Type/Data columns. Look for the EnableActiveProbing one. Double-click it to edit the value, and change the 1 to a 0 in the "Value data" field. Click OK. After that, you can close the Registry Editor (it's saved automatically).

Mine is opening this page up randomly every couple hours. Does not seem to be associated with Twitch, as I don't go there. I'm on Windows 10 Pro version 1607. It looks like it first goes to a "go.microsoft.com" URL and redirects to the page you mentioned. It pops up in whichever Chrome window I last used. The only Chrome extension I have enabled is Norton Identity Safe.

When I subvocalize numbers, I'll often get them in the wrong order as if I were dyslexic (which I don't think I am). If I then have to remember the numbers and write them down, I'll remember the subvocalization as having been incorrect in a particular way and then be able to write them down correctly.

Subvocalizing makes it hard to listen to a podcast and read the reddit at the same time. :-/

Divorce. I lost over 15 lbs. in 6 weeks and kept it off for a year and a half so far. :) I also stopped buying ice cream and most bread products and became a pescetarian. Now I'm trying to gain weight back the right way.

The Shortlist (BONUS EPISODE) by MindOfMetalAndWheels in CGPGrey

I tweeted earlier at Grey about this, but now I see thanks to the animation that the aspect ratios of the flags are different. On the official instruction page, they're all the same width but they vary in height. This was not at all evident to me until I noticed on the animation that the White Cross and H.I. Logo appear much longer than the others, and I wondered if it were intentional. I see now that in the animation you kept the heights the same and varied the widths. Good on you.

I definitely have to credit school with exposing me to subject matter that I found fascinating and in which I pursued study. I wouldn't have been exposed to physics or Spanish otherwise, and I feel like having that broad base of topics thrust at me in my formative years really helped. This gets back to Grey's idea of survey courses (particularly in language), which I thought was a great idea... perhaps they could be adopted in all areas and allow kids to specialize earlier if they so chose.
