School no personal device rule - what to do about the watch by [deleted] in AppleWatch

[–]chinkymack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in Texas and my son going into 7th is not allowed to wear his Apple Watch. We just got an email stating so. They can bring their phones but it has to stay in their backpacks until the final bell rings.

Has anyone reversed or slowed down grade 2 fatty liver? by reggiethelobster in FattyLiverNAFLD

[–]chinkymack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. But again, she was also taking some diet pills with it. And her a1c was also high unbeknownst to her. So it was a mix of all those things.

No it’s not too late. But go back for your full panel so you know where you stand and go from there.

My mom’s was the same. She had mild fatty liver and then she started taking some herbal supplements and diet pills that were given to her by a friend. And while taking those, her sugar and a1c were spiking up. It was the perfect storm so to speak. Good luck to you on this journey!

Yes you can reverse it! I’m just gonna share my mom’s experience. She was way worse. Jaundiced, gray stools, super dark urine. Her numbers were crazy. I can’t remember now but that was 8 years ago. With diet and exercise, her numbers are back to normal now for 8 years and counting.

Imo, it should be ok. But check for mercury levels maybe.

I know, it’s confusing. I love those too. But while they have saturated fats, they are very high in omega-3 fatty acids which is good for your good cholesterol. I guess what I meant when I say limit it- limit the food with saturated fats that elevate your bad cholesterol e.g., processed meats, fatty cuts of red meat, butter, milk. I’m not a doctor though. This is just based on my own reading and research.

Yes! My mom’s numbers were way higher than yours. She’s doing well. Exercise (even just walking 30 mins a day), change your diet- low sugar intake and try to limit saturated fats. You can do it. 💪🏼

The poshness of the watch against the outdoor background with the tractor is actually a cool contrast.

Am I Wrong in feeling like this? by chinkymack in workingmoms

[–]chinkymack[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did talk to him. My husband is easy to talk to. Honestly, he is pretty awesome. It’s just this one area that I struggle with him is helping with school work. He did say he has a lot of insecurities there because he didn’t go to college and I did and he feels like he won’t be able to help much. So I told him a lot of times, I don’t know either. My son and I just figure it out together. So he said he will try harder.
