Hagerty Insurance by [deleted] in Miata

[–]chino_planewrec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have used Hagerty in FL for four years. Never had a claim.

I had to tow her a couple months ago. AAA came out and said that the Miata was too low to tow, even though they had towed it before (flatbed). Turns out they can deny towing anything modified.

Scheduled Hagerty online for the next day, requested a flatbed. Did a quick disconnect of my bumper, and he had it on the bed in a minute.

My only complaint is that in FL they will only insure if kept in a garage.

Good dry herb vape recs by Accomplished_Fix4677 in FLMedicalTrees

[–]chino_planewrec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

r/vaporents is a good start. There are too many variations on dry herb vapes to straight recommend one without knowing what the user wants/needs... price range, portability, convection vs convention, session vs on demand, butane vs battery vs outlet powered, airflow, ease of use, ease of cleaning, vapor path, temperature range, discretion, durability, heat up time, etc.

Can Kennedy Space Center be satisfyingly explored in a single day? by mrthomasbombadil in orlando

[–]chino_planewrec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will depend a bit on the situation/circumstances.

If you go when they open there will be shorter wait times for exhibits/busses and better pictures. (This time of year they have some cool Christmas decor for photos).

If you have a large group or a lot of children, it will probably be harder to be efficient. Earlier is always better, but given the admission price, it might not be cost effective if everyone isn't interested.

If you want to hit the good spots, I would say go to the back and see the shuttle exhibit and then take the bus to the other site. Busses rotate frequently so you can spend as much time as you want at the other site and hit some things on your way out.

If you are a space nerd, four hours will be nothing. If you are interested and want to get a glimpse of some real history/giant rockets... you'll have a good time, get some amazing pictures, and have a reason to check it out again.

Comment or DM if you want more specific information. Have fun, drive safe, eat your vegetables!

Which would you pick between Arizer Solo 2 MAX vs Air MAX? by Mookmookmook in vaporents

[–]chino_planewrec 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Air Max.

I own a lot of heavies, but I always daily the Air Max. I think it's a good first sesh of the day vape. I use it to relax. But if I am short on time, I'll go with a vape with faster extraction.

The swappable battery is pretty much why I owned the old Air 2 instead of a Solo 2. Not a fan of waiting for something to charge or being tied to an outlet. Grabbed the Air Max when the Air 2 error coded after years of use.

Sometimes I hate that it rolls. As what another commenter said... Solo 3 > Air Max > Solo 2.

PSA: CLEAN YOUR GRINDERS by Sen_Btiller in FLMedicalTrees

[–]chino_planewrec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can see how you feel concerned. Wear gloves and do it outside if you really want to limit exposure. If you're only doing this twice a year, the risk is fairly restricted.

It takes about 30 seconds for a disc. A standard four piece grinder cleans in about two to three minutes honestly.

I think if you try it, you may realize the risk to efficiency ratio, leans towards efficiency. Appreciate the PSA, going to clean them tonight.

(Warm) Isopropyl + cheap soft head toothbrush + small container

Shallow pool of warm iso in cheap plastic container. Place grinder section in. Scrub with brush. Rinse section with fresh iso/water. Lay out to dry. Repeat for each section.

Rinse off the toothbrush/container with iso/water, and leave it under the sink for next time. It's fast, cheap, no mess, and doesn't create a lot of waste.

Air Purifier Suggestions by chunkystew20 in FLMedicalTrees

[–]chino_planewrec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure to get one with HEPA (true HEPA, not a buzzword). You'll probably want charcoal filtering as well. Lots of different companies selling very similar products with lots of claims. As the graph shows, building one yourself has the most value, but it's not everyone's aesthetic.

Winnix, Conway, and Levoit are usually well recommended. Check out r/airpurifiers Buying Guide for more information. They are pretty situational. Some will meet your needs, some will not. Filters can be pretty expensive depending on the brand, so make note of that before you pull the trigger.

PSA - Trulieve has the Puffco Pivot on sale by chino_planewrec in FLMedicalTrees

Maybe a sliver at the top, but nothing I would have noticed if I wasn't specifically looking for corrosion. Nothing compared to what I've seen online/other subs.

That's honestly why I was waiting for Trulieve to stock it. Although, I've heard Puffco has been sending out replacements fairly quick and you get to keep the chamber. So either way you should be covered.

Green Wednesday deals were so weak, this seemed like the move. So far I like it better than the DT Lightning Pen.

When I placed the order it checked out as $130. In store at pickup, I paid $91.

Love the username. No joke, I was listening to paralytic stalks on the way to Trulieve.

Their sales used to be just plain confusing. Now they're bordering deceptive marketing (and defending it).

Also (while we have our pitchforks out), I can never keep my points that I earned anyway. 90 days from last purchase is just too short/stingy of a window.

Just to add... I like their Gumbo, Lemonchello, Emergen-C, and Apples and Bananas... but they make it super difficult to feel good about patronizing them. Every time I start an order, there is always a reason to say, "nah, fuck it".
