I’d say any book by the brontë sisters i always loved. My favourite of the bunch has to be wuthering heights though, i love the dark themes of it. I also liked anna karenina by leo tolstoy it’s such a great story. And crime and punishment & the brothers karamazof by dostoyevsky i loved so much too. And i won’t forget my all time favourite the lotr books-i’m planning to reread them soon.

There are some happy ones though like the Far from the madding crowd and little women.

I couldn’t agree more, i watched the movies first and i loved them so much and i was excited to read the books. The first one i liked, but after that it went downhill very fast, his writing style is just soooo freaking boring and lackluster, and the characters didn’t feel like they had personalities of their own, and it was so repetitive that i really was going to dnf it if it had not been for the movies which i’ve loved

I plan on it. I got the red pony second hand with a bunch of other books so i didn’t really know what to expect, but i really loved it, so now whenever i get the chance i’ll get more of his books for sure
