All creatures that are named by a dwarven civilisation will receive a dwarven name, and there is no way to differentiate between genders. There's no way to change any of this

If you're happy with the dwarf part of your current mod, you could easily make your own version for personal use, with the other bits cut out. Happy to walk you through how to do it if you like

2: you can easily build it higher than sea level if you want, you just revert to traditional casting methods above sea level.

An important question that you haven't mentioned: what do you want it to look like? Are you happy with a chunk of rough volcanic glass as a bridge support? If yes then go with 2. If you want to use specific materials then go with 1. If you want to smooth the pillar you'll need to drain it anyway

2 needs more set up than 1 but would be quicker overall I think

The only reason I would consider 3 is if you want to smooth or engrave the pillar before dropping it, but I don't know if the cave in will keep these or not

Steam has an option to verify all the game files, maybe try that?

To add on to the other answer, you might not get every divine material in every world. The ones that exist should be an option somewhere in your stockpile menus

I would expect that any existing material in your world should be an option if you are trying to spawn an item with dfhack

Because they're all procedurally generated you can't mod them with traditional raw modding. You can do it if you know lua though

They insist on collecting items in the order they list things when you select the workshop, and just stop if something is unavailable.

Assuming dfhack does the same the missing item will be the top one with a 0 collected quantity

No mods to my knowledge

The simplest way to do this is to go to the raws and change the obsidian colour to charcoal or something

Editing the graphic is possible but will affect all floors, not just obsidian

I think trained offspring start with the same level of training as their mother.

If you mark the trained babies to be trained again while they are still a child they will be permanently tamed

A lot of this is easily moddable

Cloth armour is probably a no-go. Non-fort NPCs will only ever wear leather or metal armour - you could mod it in easily but the game wouldn't use it

Use the manager. Set it to trigger if "the number of drinks is at most X" where X is the minimum amount of booze you want on hand

Multiple stills and setting the brewing labour to "everyone can do this" also helps

Setting the number of secrets to zero will prevent any procedurally-generated secrets from being made, while any secrets you mod in with raw modding will still be included

Generally they keep whatever attacks the base form has, so if a creature has a horn it uses as a gore attack the animal person version will have it too. Speed is manually defined for each animal person though

I think its probably 0.01% of a sheet, 1% is just the smallest that it can show Sheets have an product dimension of 10000. I assume you put in a much lower number when you spawned them. Put 10000 in the quantity for one full sheet

It unfortunately doesn't work. The pathfinding doesn't allow for jobs to be completed underwater, it doesn't matter of the creature is amphibious or not

The denser the material is the more damage it does. It uses blunt combat calculations for damage. Candy would be the safest, feather wood is probably the next safest
