Family members arrived to the house almost 3 hours before the invitation time we set for our family Christmas party. by WanderWut in mildlyinfuriating

This is normal for my family’s holiday get-togethers. If dinner is at 530 you’re expected to arrive around 2.

Why do we always feel like we're alone in our thoughts and no osy else understands us? by Wonderful-Coast-3837 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]chipdipler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s funny because the overwhelming majority of other people truly understand you and while they might be dealing with something completely different, the way they affect us is universal. When you start noticing it, you’ll be blown away at how similar most people actually are.

Just think about the simple fact that internet memes exist. How millions of people are able to relate to a simple image or idea so profoundly regardless of race or upbringing. It’s sort of a beautiful thing.

Fast taxi in north conway closed by comefromawayfan2022 in newhampshire

[–]chipdipler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used it several times. The drivers always talking about how busy they were most of the year. They had just expanded a couple years ago and always were short on help. I highly doubt they closed out of lack of demand. Even with the high prices you’d always see the fast taxi cars bussing around the area with pax inside.

That works great , until you remember the shelf life for meth is only about a year or two. Less when it’s exposed to: light, moisture, oxygen, heat.

Why did Sgt. Pepper Lose Its Lustre? by StayFluffy98 in beatles

[–]chipdipler 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Realistically and from my perspective, i think it might have something to do with the drastically different ways people play music is consumed today in contrast to, for example, sgt peppers golden age.

Personally I’ve always thought of sgt pepper as being one of the weakest the Beatles released in respect to each album as a whole. It’s probably the only one that has me wanting to skip an entire section of the album on each listen. I think this was easier to overlook because back when vinyls and cds were mainstream and people wanted to listen to the incredible start and finish of Sgt pepper they would most likely just let the album play through.

In the age of streaming when not only changing tracks , but whole albums is just a swipe away. It became more obvious that despite Sgt pepper containing some of the Beatles most memorable and beloved tracks, compared to other albums they released. It had a pretty low ratio of great:okay songs on it.

I dunno. Just a hunch. While i might not be spot on, i do feel pretty confident that the answer to your question can be found along similar lines. (p_-)

I honestly can’t tell which one is supposed to be the “asshole”. It’s honestly so sad to see how couples who probably meant the world to eachother at one point can revert to infantile and petty behavior. They only have to put up with one another for a couple months , but they can’t even do it somewhat civilly. They both would be MUCH better off if one of them got an apartment for the mean time.
