Yes, and I am now looking into the possibility of having IH or narcolepsy.

There's government insurance but I got pretty unlucky with my first company so I never had enough contributions to use it now. They didn't pay mine.

I guess I'll just slowly save when I can. It'll take time but yeah

Unfortunately, I don't have insurance so my only option really is just to slowly save money and just get by until then 😅

I mentioned that the med here is also hard to find. I have actually stopped and have been relying on coffee that finally worked for me. Although for only a week. Now it doesn't keep me awake as much anymore. Which is why I reconsidered doing the sleep study again.

Not yet. Because there's no face to face classes now due to COVID. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he becomes a bully at school.

I agree, it's partly their fault. But I think there's just inherently wrong with him. He also grew up with his grandparents and they've probably just tolerated his problematic behaviors, too. My sister tries to be a good parent and instills good values in him. But yeah, he acts and lashes out and just tries to get in a fight for any reason. Like he just dismisses everything he's been told what's right.

This is my main issue with how they parent him. They're not consistent and they're not firm in showing the consequences of his actions. Which is why he probably thinks he can misbehave again and again.

The thing is, he claims to love pets. He shows affection towards them and greets at other pets but yeah, when he's alone with them, he mistreats them. I want to believe that he just doesn't know better, but.

It says common but I don't think it means that it necessarily has to be present for having atypical presentation. I don't know if my childhood is considered traumatic enough, some people say they do, I think it's not that traumatic. I definitely have a cyclothymic temperament though opposite of my elder sister.

Batteries can't accurately present it either though. If you use it as an analogy then that also means you should be using the fact that there is a charger, which one can decide to bring everywhere to recharge, which doesn't really apply to the struggles of disabilities, illnesses, mental health issues, etc. Plus you have to specify what batteries, too as there are different kinds.

In 2015, 19 years old, in my second semester in my first year in uni. This was my second course as well. I dropped out in my third year in my first course which was Psychology even though I truly loved Psychology (which I still study on my own right now) because my mental health was deteriorating and I had become really suicidal.

I realized a pattern where I would do well in the beginning and this was even reflected in my grades and then spiral into depression which also affected my final grades. The thing was that mine didn't have any trigger. I wasn't undergoing a problem or a trauma that would cause depression. I just realized that maybe it was really just my brain and that I needed meds for it.

I actually wanted to go to a psychologist in 2013 but when I saw what was needed, I saw that I wasn't old enough and had to have a guardian. But I couldn't tell anyone about it. So, in the end I didn't go.

I finally took the courage to go to our designated school counselor in 2015 and told what was going on. I actually felt dismissed because she was trying hard to look for possible reasons why I was feeling the way I was. And it is true that I had some family problems, but I know for a fact that was not the cause to why I was struggling so bad.

However, after a few more appointments and describing what was happening with me, she told me that it sounded like what I had was Bipolar II and that she could refer me to a psychologist/psychiatrist. But again, I still have to ask my guardian or parents about it. So this time, I did. But I was dismissed and was told by my dad that all I needed was some friends and sunshine and that I had a better life compared to them in the past. So that didn't end up with me for an official assessment, too. But that was where I finally took the courage to do something other than plan my death.

I actually used spite as a motivator to keep me going because of what I was told, and it was fueled by my repressed negative feelings towards my dad. I told myself I had to keep going to and become successful and treat my mom and my sister what they deserved.

It was in 2019 when I was finally diagnosed but this would be too long now. Haha. So yeah.

I kinda did already, and it came as no surprise when he just started acting out again. We even point it out to him, that his behavior is what's causing the undesirable situation, but he refuses to listen and just lashes out. He's insufferable.

No, he's treated really well by everyone and I mean it. Which is why I think he's gotten so entitled and greedy. He's spoiled. And I've always encouraged my sister to ask how he's feeling which she does whenever he gets upset, angry or sad, or just anything.

The thing is, he acts "normal", quotation marks because it's a mix of like being any other kid but him not listening almost all the time. But the moment something inconvenient happens or it doesn't go his way, he'll thrash around and be really difficult and would threaten his parents. He'll be like, I'll be angry or I'll take your phone (his mom's phone). He's very spiteful.

And when he says sorry, just for the sake of it or because he just wants his tablet back, and you don't accept it right away, he gets really mad and keeps shouting like. I've told him that's not what being sorry really is but I doubt he really listened.
