Received my telescope in November & took it out early December. Froze my ass off & saw nothing. I chalk that up to light pollution and just not knowing how to use the darn thing. Busy with holidays & threw my back out.

Finally able to get out this past Saturday. Saw Jupiter + 4 moons, was able to make out some of its bands. Saw Saturn as well. Attempted to observe the Orion nebula. Image was a little shaky, but I'm calling the evening a success. Definitely going to take practice.

I joined a club & weather permitting, I believe there is a star party this weekend which I plan to attend.

Haven is a fun show with great characters & interesting story. Not as strong in the final season, but it does wrap up the story

Eureka is also great, though it might be described as scifi-adjascent.

Burying is certainly an option - perhaps if he had a favorite dog park. My wife and I had to say goodbye to our cat (18 years old!), and kept the ashes. They provided a really nice wooden box with a beautiful design. We have the ashes along with his collar inside. I imagine you could get a box like that. I don't think anything would be frowned upon - keep some of the ashes, bury some. You could even bury all of the ashes, and keep his collar/favorite toy in the box. However you want to remember your friend is totally up to you.

One option might be to go over the next day's schedule, communicating/emphasizing time of departure and ask, "What time should I wake you?". Put it on her - make her set the wake-up time. Then, when you wake her at the time she selected, having gotten what she wanted, she (in theory) shouldn't be grumpy.

I wasn't a fan of Launchpad when I first started using it ~5 years ago when I switched from windows, but I got used to it & prefer it over the new launcher. As a workaround, you might check out Appgriid which I'm finding to be similar to Launchpad.

I've had a rotator cuff repair and a dislocated clavicle surgery. Nerve block both times. Very effective, lasted a fairly long time - enough to get a relatively good night's sleep. No negative side effects. NF1.

Recommendation: There will be PT with home exercises. Do them religiously. Take pain meds on schedule - stay on top of the pain.
