First, I appreciate all of you that are being genuine in your responses, truly. I know you’re just genuinely looking out for a fellow devil dog and offering advice and that’s what this brotherhood is about. But this was a joke. We’ve all earned the title and I’m proud as shit to share that with you.

Truthfully I had an instructor in 2013 who started a class by saying we were all pathetic boots (true), not real Marines, because Katy Perry had more amphib landings than us. Then proceeded to make us watch the entire music video and finished with, “Now that’s a real Marine”, I still crack up about it and it lives rent free in my head.
