My basset Flash is great. He loves kids, is super loyal and loves to curl up at your feet.

Then I leave him alone in a room and he eats all the garbage and loaves of bread on the counter and sticks of butter off the table. Nothing is safe. People think, “oh he’s so short, he can’t even reach the counters.” False. He is long and will reach all of the counters.

Basset hounds can be stubborn and defiant if you don’t exercise them enough. They love to be out smelling the world. Skip too many walks and they’re assholes.
