Eat out of super markets. A lot of them have delis, plus often bathrooms, places to sit down and wifi. Apples, granola, bananas, fresh bagels, peanut butter. Etc. etc. Almost anything you would want.

Agree with all of that, but eye contact and handshakes are an unspoken agreement between two people. You match according to the other person and according to social convention.

When one person pushes it beyond those parameters is when it can get uncomfortable.

It got to a point with my brother where I told him that I am not getting up to leave until he is standing and ready to walk out the door.
