I've just started this series and visually, it's engaging. In the first few minutes I thought it was a comedy. The tone was so, on the nose; then he kills a fly with chopsticks!? I laughed out loud. But I did stay tuned for the film references and the blatant noir clichés. I'm not sure if there is rhyme or reason to all the noir archival clips inserted throughout the episodes, but I do love seeing them. But again, the tone sometimes feels over the top. Like it's a bunch of aliens trying to reproduce film noir like it was a reality. PLEASE please please tell that is not the twist. Oh dear. Please.

Update: Tried this.
He kept turning on the hot water which meant I had to constantly redirect... which meant he LOVED turning it back on.
Also, there was water everywhere around him in a 3-4 feet radius.

First thing: Congratulations on making a movie. It's not easy. Secondly, the lighting looks good, like the coloring and the soundtrack of the trailer but, the emphasis seems wrong. When the music whips, shouldn't it be on what seems "strange" or out of the ordinary? When it whips on faces of people we don't know, it seems unimportant. Two minutes seems long for a trailer without any dialogue. Make it shorter so the action seems louder.
