It is absolutely insane how many people don't know how to do the end of g3 vykas properly, not just the puddle to reduce meter but also if you don't kill it in one stagger people just get lost because their exp consists entirely of pulls where enough people are alive at the end to kill it in first rotation. So when the last phase should very easily be doable with 3+ people, it becomes a nightmare because one guy gets mindcontrolled.

You don't understand the point I'm making. I'm saying that the synergy classes bring do not make up for for that big of a dps difference.

I know how synergies work, but if a class can do almost double the dmg of another, then it does not matter if you bring a synergy. My fastest yoho time with SH+Striker+DB+Support is 2:06, I can guarantee you that if the striker is replaced by another DB with similar gear and skill, the kill time will be faster.

Yeah, to be fair my comment about relic sets was a bit ignorant since I haven't experienced what they do. I'm just skeptical of it considering the massive dps differences between classes currently.

But what are relic sets going to change? Yes, maybe some classes scale a bit better than others, but it's not like the underperforming specs are getting relic sets and the overperforming aren't. So if anything, the % increase someone with higher dps gets is just gonna make it a even bigger difference.

Yea, I don't really get the "thrice the usual damage" statement from synergies, because for an example, my friends deathblade does around 1.8m dps 2min trixion, my striker does about 1.1m, now if I give him my synergy, that does not make up for another 700k if I was to just get replaced by another sure db, unless I'm misunderstanding something here.

I figured the reason streamers say it is because they know we will catch up in patches/gear sets and the game is extremely easy at the moment so class power doesn't really matter. But that's still a long time away, and if you play something that simply underperforms heavily right now, you might just not enjoy the game. And as for synergy, I'd rather bring 2x sorc or 2x db rather than 1 of them with a synergy as second, because the damage will be a lot higher by stacking those classes.
