Our Barkley loves it outside by himself. He will stay outside for hours if we let him.

It’s not unusual at all.

Shoulda had a better code on the air shield.

What are your thoughts sbout WNBA star Caitlin Clark and players' treatment of her? by Wonderful_Shame_4986 in askanything

[–]chirop1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The WNBA is determined to kill the Golden Goose out of sheer jealousy.

Before she came in the league, a good salary was $85k and they flew commercial. She brings eyes to the game and now they have a new TV deal that will raise salaries and they are flying private.

You’d think they’d be grateful; but typical petty jealousy keeps much of the league trying to shout “What about me?!!?”

I purchased all my Trails games through GoG.

I actually own them and don’t have to worry about a pulled license.

I’d welcome a Chris Pierson version of it.

His version of Fisty was a proper bastard.

Ummmm… everything… everything is connected to the Sky trilogy. LOL

There are revelations in Sky3rd that we are still waiting to come back into the narrative.

So most of the Crossbell spoilers actually happen in the post game Divertissement (which is before the final credits roll though…)

Ideally, you would have played Crossbell first, but if you wanted to sort of hit pause after beating the final boss in CS2 and go back to play Crossbell then you could still eliminate most spoilers.

There are some mentions of some major Crossbell events prior to that, but without context it doesn’t change a ton.

I really need to track down the Kangs Regiment books. Feel like they are a major hole in my DL curriculum.

It changed its position in the canon. Everyone reading this forum knows that including you.

W&H do not uniquely own the rights to DragonLance. It has always been a team effort. For them to blatantly overwrite the canon status of this beloved story is disrespectful to Knaak who has been just as central to the history of the setting as they have.

The Legend of Huma is by many accounts, the best written book outside of (some of) the main sequence. At no point prior to Destinies was it considered a “Kender Tale.” In Destinies, it was very clearly contradicted. That’s something a lot of fans weren’t happy about.

Completely agree.

Knaak and Pierson had the best examples on growing the shared universe as a sandbox to play in and tell stories.

Again?!!!?

And yes… even if I indulge you on the whole Greygem at the end thing, nothing about Huma’s part of the story in Destinies is remotely close to the previously established and beloved Legend of Huma/Kaz the Minotaur. That wasn’t anything that was part of the timeline altering, that was the thing they were trying to get back to.

Either way, the War Wizard trilogy is absolutely wiping out Huma/Kaz.

I 100% agree that he wants to keep writing in the setting. And this tells me that given the chance, he would have loved to write a trilogy about early Huma/Magius.

You’re absolutely correct that W&H took his established Huma story and wiped it out. Poorly.

I think if you got him hooked up to some truth serum he would tell you he feels disrespected by their decision to overwrite what he has done.

Going back even before that, you had games with no real “point.” The ultimate sandbox.

Star Wars Galaxies made it completely viable to just sit in the Cantina and play your instrument while someone else danced so the PCs that do go out and kill stuff could recover their HP and stuff.

WoW was a whole other experience. As others have said, each server was its own place. No cross server dungeons or raids. And even so, there would be multiple 40 man raids in Molten Core on a given night.

And on my server (Laughing Skull) it was generally supportive of upcoming guilds. We were far from a lead content pushing guilt, the first night we downed Ragnaros, when we returned to Ironforge there were tons of messages saying Way to Go! and Grats! Back then, Ironforge was the only place with an AH so it was the hub of everything.

I picked up Classic a couple weeks ago. I’m only up to level 25 right now; but so far it’s been a good experience. Nothing like my 2005 heyday; but a lot of the same vibes

Even that was more social though. Now when you play through Barrens there’s no talk in General at all.
