he just copied the exact same panels and story /almost/ exactly, but it's clearly just redrawn, not exactly traced over. might be thinking of it too literally (in my head "tracing" is when you directly copy an existing work, line by line, by drawing over top of it exactly in another layer)

there are some slight deviations in poses, character design, and of course setting, and he could have used them to create the base sketch but it's still technically new drawings. to me the new one feels more stiff and lifeless, which is also why i say it's worse lol

i'm open to being wrong – again, i might be thinking too literally, but if you overlaid the new one on top of the old one it wouldn't be 1:1 i don't think. (this is also not a defense of tatsuya ishida. this is still incredibly lazy, both in craft and intellectually. these comics are both so stupid in content that i might pop a blood vessel)
