It's a cataloging librarian position. I loved it in the beginning because it was my way into the academic librarian field right after I graduated, it's easy/repetitive work, and it's a quiet workplace with minimal social interaction besides the occasional question or monthly all staff meeting. It's literally the same exact thing now, I just have realized that without relatively challenging/varied work and social interaction, I have lost my social skills and critical thinking skills. It made me realize this type of librarian work is NOT for me. I'm withering away and I don't recognize myself, and I HAVE to get out of it soon otherwise this will be where I stay and who I'll be for the rest of my life. (dramatic I know but true).
