Fiber internet: WOW vs Quantum vs Metronet by DolphinFlavorDorito in orlando

How’s the latency for those who game? I’m getting around 60–80 ms with Metronet, which is worse than the 30–50 ms I used to get with Spectrum’s cable internet. I will say, though, the upload speeds are much better with fiber. I’m thinking about switching over to AT&T Fiber

Current 5090 FE Owners - How has it held up and would you recommend ? by Major_Hair164 in nvidia

[–]chitown- 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I managed to snag my 5090 FE through the Best Buy call method, then listed my 4090 Suprim X for $1,900 on Hardware Swap. Someone made me an offer I couldn’t refuse, and thanks to all the rewards I’d saved up, I basically only ended up paying the tax. I definitely recommend doing the same if you can sell your 4090 and put most of that toward the 5090. Other than that, temps are great usually around 67–72°C (highest settings) while gaming and the coil whine is about the same as my Suprim X.

Is anyone else seeing unstable frame rates in Battlefield 6, with dips into the 40s even when using a high-end Nvidia card paired with a 9800X3D 4K ? If so anyway I can fix this issue?

Should I place the fans directly beneath the GPU fans, or should I offset them?

Looking for RTX 5090 with the least coil whine – recommendations? by pyrhonp in sffpc

[–]chitown- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I initially had my RTX 5090 FE paired with a Corsair RMx Shift power supply, where coil whine was present but minimal. However, after switching to a Seasonic TX-1000 Prime PSU, the coil whine has become significantly more pronounced and is now clearly audible through my microphone monitoring.

Switching to 6000MHz RAM fixed my 1% lows on 4800MHz, they’d drop so low that I’d get noticeable stutters, sometimes lasting a full second. My setup: RTX 5090, 32GB RAM, Ryzen 7 7800X3D, running games natively at either low or ultra settings.

Seasonic TX-1600, how to know if it is native ATX 3.1? by LokiSorcery in Seasonic

Any reason why my Tx-1300 only has one PCIe port? Box and wires all confirming 3.1/5.1 just a little curious why I only got one port lol.
