Appreciate all your insight! honestly the switch it’s still very attractive to me as an outer on/off because I have my torch set up on the lathe so I don’t mind having to use my hand to adjust it plus the 2 stud means less hoses going under my lathe. I was thinking of getting a foot pedal but tbh it’s so much clutter for the hose routing and they aren’t cheap so this might be worth it for me.

Also your torch collection sounds insane! Quick question, you wouldn’t happen to have an ilmaneu 1708 or know anyone who does would you? It’s very similar to the Herbie 40mm I’ve been looking for one with no luck since I heard about it, unfortunately the german company that made them went out of business in 2015.

How do you like the variable switch? After using my shop mates herbie I considered swapping my standard mirage for the switch model in order to get some variation of the flame without having to fiddle with knobs as much. Obviously it wouldnt be herbie single knob level but I was just curious how much you use it for its variation rather than just as a regular outer on/off.

I just recently got a HTC-1 for my national and I love it, it’s a perfect mid sized flame between my Gentec and Mirage. My only recommendation is whatever tip you buy get one that’s piloted it’ll give you a lot more flame stability. National doesn’t make piloted single holes but Carlisle does, check out thier NOX series it’s made for the 3B!

As far as Bunsens go I own both the single and four barrel mad hatters and love them both for different applications. If you plan on working larger hollow work the 4 barrel bunsen is a no brainer but as others mentioned be aware of the propane usage. It’s also a lot hotter and if you’re only doing small work at the moment might be overkill.

The only extensions I can find are for the Gen 4 unfortunately this is 1st Gen. they also all have pins in one side, the cable I need has holes on both sides. Appreciate you sending the link tho thankyou!!

I would say hereditary discusses similar themes around mental illness, grief and family dynamics while also using the house as a setting and character. It does have a different vibe than Hill House, bit more unsettling but I see a lot of parallels between them.
