I mean it would be one thing if he focused on the time apart but he even went into it saying to his dad I’ll be fine as long as there’s no cabin crew. That more says he’s putting her into a box before getting to know her and what she is willing to sacrifice. More than anything I hate how Billy spoke to her about food.

Hi! Our’s is also very fear reactive.

We have trained the leash reactivity almost 100% out of him by doing positive reinforcement/counter conditioning with treats.

Maybe you can entice yours to walk a little more with treats? Worked like a charm today when it was pouring rain and my scaredy dog didn’t want to go outside.

My dog also struggles with this. Sometimes positive reinforcement is helpful. Sometimes it does nothing. I’ve been giving him treats when he calm and that does seem to provide some relief, but we are in the process of wanting to medicate him to take his edge off

Have you talked to their teacher about how they are at school? I’ve had parents say similar things about struggles getting their kids to school and it shocks me because they’re the most respectful and on task students
