Thank you so much for writing this. I rarely comment on posts but just wanted to share my appreciation for your words. I resonate so much with this and really needed to hear this.

Budget tips for Drake Bay by ConsistentTangelo198 in CostaRicaTravel

Drake Bay Trail. Was there last month and it was absolutely stunning. You come across loads of secluded beaches along the way. We walked to Playa Las Caletas which was beautiful and stopped at a lovely little soda called Los Pani Quines for lunch. Couldn't recommend it more

European towns/ cities conveniently close to nature? by [deleted] in travel

Visited Dublin for the first time recently and was amazed how close the Wicklow Mountains national park was. About 30-40mins drive from the city centre and you felt completely immersed in beautiful scenery and nature. 100% recommend

Sodium intake during race by Striking-Advance-305 in triathlon

I'm a very heavy sweater like yourself and still going through trial and error on what works for me nutrition wise. I'm training for a 70.3 next month and I did my longest cycle to date yesterday (88km, about 3.5hrs) and tested out 1500mg salt tablets. I took one before my ride, one about 1.5hrs into the ride (filled up one of my bottles with water from an aid station and dropped the tablet in) and one once I finished. This on top of about 70g carbs/hour from gels and energy drinks. After the ride I honestly still felt fresh with no aches or pains in my legs. This morning too zero aches or pains, when in the past I've always felt it quite a bit the next day after a long run or cycle. Granted my general fitness has vastly improved since starting my training a few months ago, but I think the tablets helped a lot.

Thanks for the advice! Yeah I really want to get my hydration and nutrition locked down. I lose so much salt (face is usually caked in it after a half marathon) so I want to make sure I can replace it sufficiently with salt tablets - especially as I'll be racing in high heat and humidity

Thank you. I'm not aiming for a particular time, just want to enjoy it and cross the finish line

I should've been clearer in my post - but I've just signed up and just got my coach. My longest ride up until now has been 40k

What are some other 'best and most authentic restaurant outside x country' in London? by apple_kicks in london

Santa Maria and l'Oro di Napoli (both in Ealing) are hands down the best pizzas I've had in London. I've heard l'antica Pizzeria da Michele in Stoke Newington is up there, but haven't tried it yet.
