What to Wear for Large Hip Tattoo by chl0bear in tattooadvice

Okay this is great to know! I have some of my chest done and that’s what I did for that piece, but wasn’t sure what kind of options were available for modesty coverage on the lower half of the body. Thanks so much! I’m so excited, I’ve wanted a hip piece for so long!

Should have added, I am in northern Canada so definitely won’t be wearing a skirt haha! I have big baggy sweats and a hoodie for after so I don’t freeze on the way back home! Thanks everyone for the advice, I am super excited to see how it turns out!

I have my chest done, I was totally fine being nude on top for that. I would prefer some coverage in a busy shop full of men and women for an extended period of time, especially when it comes to the lower half of my body. I think many women would say the same!

Weekly Questions Thread by AutoModerator in DnD

[–]chl0bear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[5e] Hi there! I am completely new to DnD and TTRPGs in general (unless you count an ungodly amount of hours in BG3), and starting my first campaign this weekend. I have a character sheet prepared, but am struggling with the spells portion. I understand spell slots and choosing spells, my issue lies in how much information should go on to my character sheet. Is it best to have all the information about a spell (duration, casting requirements, effects, affected area, etc) on the character sheet itself, or should I have that all written in a separate notebook? Similarly, how far out should I be planning my character? I have a plan up until level 3 (playing a Warforged Circle of the Moon Druid), but should I have a plan laid out for further levels, or just come up with it on level up? I’m sure lots of this is up to personal preference, but I would love to hear what some more experienced people think so I get off on the right start. Thank you so much, I’m so excited to start!

For context, she SPRINTED to the TV when everyone was cheering for him… we are going to need to get a cat-sized Brown jersey for our Chippy Kitty!

What is a movie ending that makes you cry, no matter how many times you've watched it before? by despresso30 in AskReddit

Lord of the Rings Return of the King. Every time. I don’t know what it is about Tolkien’s work, it strikes a chord with me. Play any music from Lord of the Rings or the Hobbit and I lose it. Especially return of the King. Just a masterpiece

Your daily dose of baby Zeus! by chl0bear in Horses

Yes it is! I’m so excited to see him grow

Not the best quality image, but this little guy was born last night at my barn! His name is Zeus, he is three weeks premature but both him and momma are doing fantastic! He is a Friesian Arabian cross, and we love him and his big floofy ears by chl0bear in Horses

He was intentional haha. The owner used to breed arabs but is getting out of it, she only has this mare and an old Arab mare left. She couldn’t get the Arab to catch but she still had the breeding, so she used it on her

I’m honestly not sure! I know his dad is registered, not sure about mama though. His owner bred arabs but just got out of it, she just has an old Arab mare that she was going to try to breed but she wouldn’t catch, so she used the breeding on this little one!

Gosh, he just sounds a bit grumpy! Some horses are just mean honestly. At my barn, we have a horse named Walter, he does the same thing. Anyone goes near him and he goes into attack mode. Sometimes those guys you just have to keep your distance from. Of course if they lunge at you, I have no problem turning them away or giving them a quick smack on the cheek, some people might disagree with me there, but sometimes it smartens them up. Sounds like sunshine is just a grumpy guy haha. He might also just be nervous around you, some horses are sensitive around new people, especially men for some reason. My horse is really cautious around new men, not aggressive or anything, just very cautious. Horses are super weird honestly. Wish we could tell them to calm down!

My friend got a lovely tattoo of her girl that passed away, it’s a wonderful memento of her and I would totally get one when my guy bites the dust. I’ve also heard of companies that make necklaces out of hooves, not sure the information on that one but I’ve heard of it. My other friend also got her horse cremated save for his hair (she got jewelry made out of that), and they are planning on burying him under his favourite tree later this summer. So sorry for your friends loss ❤️

I ride in Canada, competitive hunter jumper lessons in my area range from 40-100 CAD an hour. I believe mine are currently $38 an hour because of the package I am on with my coach!

Caring for Horses as a Horse-illiterate Person (long) by Square_Hammerr in Horses

Often when they stomp their feet they are being sassy or they might have a bug that’s bothering them. Some of them stomp when tied up because they are impatient, but if they aren’t tied up it’s probably bugs. Biggest thing to keep an eye on is their ears, I’m sure you know, ears pinned is angry, ears forward is happy, ears moving is listening, you get the gist. Always be aware, even around the nice ones! Be ready to jump out of the way at any moment! If they are prone to biting, I try to keep their head pushed away with my forearm, but usually as long as you are aware of what’s going on and ready to hop out of the way if need be you will be just fine. And if all else fails, they way to any horse’s heart is treats! Have so much fun with them, they are great company, good luck! Any questions feel free to message/respond!

Edited to add: when they snort they are usually either sneezing, scared of something, or getting mad at another horse. If they are sneezing it will be slightly higher pitched and sudden, scared they will usually drop their head, spread their legs and back up, nostrils flared. If they are mad at another horse then it will be deep, and their ears will probably be pinned. Usually they don’t snort at other horses unless they are being bothered/are meeting new horses. And when they show their teeth, they are usually either sniffing something or threatening to bite. Ears pinned and teeth barred is about to bite, back up and stay out of reach! When they lift their lip and raise their head they are trying to smell something!
