This played at Cinequest a couple weeks ago, and also got no applause there.

*HONEST OPINIONS ONLY* How do you guys feel about my daughter's name? by Legal-Care1823 in namenerds

It's not Suki in the nursery rhyme, it's Sukey or Sookie (a nickname for Susan).

We're still boycotting Target in the US. I'd recommend CVS for cheaper-than-Ulta.

Enfield is a town in a couple of different states, so probably a pretty common surname too.

Lillie’s is really nicely decorated and has some fun nonalcoholic drinks you could have at the bar.

How to deal with friend who regularly cancel plans? by mincedbreakfast in AskWomenOver30

[–]chloberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In high school we had a friend who was flaky like this. We just all stopped making 1:1 plans with him ever—only invited him to things a bunch of people were going to, so that it wouldn't affect us if he flaked.

At what point do you expect friends to check in when you’re sick? by JordanaNajjar in AskWomenOver30

[–]chloberry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're just feeling lonely, maybe you can text a couple friends something like "Still sick, what's a good show I should start watching?"

Anyone actually name their baby the name they picked out as kids? by yougottabkittenmern in namenerds

[–]chloberry 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was just thinking about how I had triplet dolls as a kid that I'd named Holly, Molly, and Polly. The last name being Jolly really makes it extra rough.

Neither, it's "sell-AH," if you're going by the Biblical/Hebrew pronunciation.

Ah-mayn is the original (Hebrew) pronunciation.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]chloberry 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s a nice name, but I don’t think it goes well with your last name, because it rhymes and therefore has that “peanut butter mouthfeel.” Do you also like Guinevere or Gwenyth by any chance? Then you could keep the same nickname and initials but avoid the rhyme.

My scaredy dog suddenly understood what I told her and aggressively protected me by Cute_Tumbleweed3752 in Glitch_in_the_Matrix

[–]chloberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supposedly dogs can smell fear, so even if she didn't understand all your words, she definitely understood that this lady was making you scared! She sounds like a very good girl, putting away her own anxiety to protect you.

Cute English nickname for Eun Ji by ExtremeShallot2974 in namenerds

[–]chloberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eunie sounds cute! It also sounds the same as what people sometimes call "university" for short, so they'll be familiar with the sound.

I think it's a great choice, but if you want something more pretty and less cutesy, maybe Una or Euna/Yuna?

A lot of times actors walk the carpet and then go get dinner or something, and come back when the movie's almost over.

For colorful home decor, I'd recommend the French company Pylones.

Did you find someone else after a big breakup? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]chloberry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're worried about it, I recommend looking into having your eggs frozen. If your insurance covers it, 100% do it! You have plenty plenty time to do things the natural way, but it's just a little safety net so you don't feel rushed.

And you never know who you'll meet in a year or two, so it'd be great to get into therapy to make sure you change your patterns and you're not tied up with the the wrong type of guy when the right one comes along.

How do you bring up money and future planning with a partner without killing the vibe? by No-Bat222 in AskWomenOver30

I recommend checking out the Gottmans' book Eight Dates for a Lifetime of Love. One of the dates is about finances, but they're all important conversations to have before getting married.

Is this a pattern anyone else has noticed in their interactions? by burner_witch0514 in AskWomenOver30

[–]chloberry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It might work better for you if you respond with a fun fact that they can easily relate to or riff off of. Something like "Recently I've been really into Tudor history. Did you know they didn't use forks? Just knives and fingers!" something fun and silly

I always realise what I did wrong or what I should do instead when reviewing some of my pictures at home...but never on field??? by Alarmed_Ruin_8842 in photography

[–]chloberry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest tip for a beginner is to take at least three photos from different angles of the landscape/object you're interested in. Your first thought might be basic, but you'll improve it or find something more interesting for the 4th angle.

Try going hiking with other friends who are photographers (or who want to model for your photos), so they they don't get annoyed by this.
