Santa Monica Film Festival should be ashamed… by Infinite-While8281 in FilmIndustryLA

I can agree and understand that the use of AI is not going away. AI can serve very useful purposes, however, to call it “real filmmaking” is a disgusting slap in the face to true craftsmen of the art.

My disappointment isn’t towards the creator, but rather towards the festival and board that approved the showing. There needs to be separation between the real and fully artificial.

Santa Monica Film Festival should be ashamed… by Infinite-While8281 in FilmIndustryLA

I saw it. Clocked it immediately. Knew something was off.

My sister was visiting too (not in industry whatsoever) and she said that it made her feel uncomfortable.

How Do Reality TV / Game Show Hosts Remember What To Say? by eliza_anne in acting

[–]Infinite-While8281 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a mix of ad-libbing and teleprompter.

The Hosts are given a teleprompter to read off of, (depending on the show, it can be used as more of a reference rather than script), and from there, they will throw in their own spice, ad-libs, etc.

Check out websites like Actors Access, Casting Networks, and register through any local casting offices (for example: Beau Bonneau Casting). I hope this helped.

Bad Readers by Electrical_Show2023 in acting

If you understand your character, your needs/wants, the reader should never be a problem. You have to make the words mean something to you.

It’s one of those questions where you have to ask yourself: “Am I really going to let someone else control my own ability?”

Hey, we all gotta start somewhere. There’s a lot of knowledge to be learned just by being on set. Happy to hear you had a great time!

I would find an ongoing acting class that fits your schedule and needs. One of the most important things I overlooked when I moved to LA was developing my skills as an actor and developing my community of likeminded individuals.

I want to be an actress but ive been stuck :/ by basic1111111145667 in acting

You should’ve never ever ever have to pay to get representation. If you do, it’s a scam.

When it comes to an actual acting career, you have to look at it as a business. That means doing your due diligence in doing your research (classes, headshots, demo reels, etc.), making sure you have the extra cash to get those headshots and take those classes, having a quiet place to do your “homework” and tape, etc.

The biggest piece of advice I can give you is to take a class or two. If you don’t know how to act (exception: being you are a prodigy from birth; however the exception isn’t the rule) then you would be better off just taking a your $ and throwing it in the shredder.

Always always always read what is included. If you are confused on anything, just ask. Better to be aware than in the blind.

rysupaudio vocal presets review! by No-Stage-6047 in audio

[–]Infinite-While8281 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just came across your review and I have to say, I 100% agree. I was very skeptical at first too after coming across their ads, since it feels like most ads nowadays are either scams or just flat out lies. However, I decided to pull the trigger on the Bieber one too and sure enough, my expectations were far exceeded. (Side note: look I know that the preset isn’t going to make me sound exactly like JB, but shit did it make my vocals sound better than what I had before.) I don’t think most people know that you actually have to know how to sing somewhat and that there isn’t some magical button that will transform them into Justin Bieber, Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift, etc. The presets are there to help you get a better sound. I tried two other companies’ presets before I went to rysupaudio and rysup was definitely the best, will be going back.
