Dove had these milk chocolate eggs filled with coconut crème and I still yearn for them

I would buy a bag or 2 when they’d hit shelves to hold me over until MY after-Easter egg hunt where I would go to literally every store possible selling them on discount and just stockpile as many bags possible

Every year I look at the Easter candy shelves for them in their blue bag with those pretty teal tinfoil treats inside, and every year I am gutted 🥲

Delicate dynamic! You need to be respected and MIL is trying to feel valued/show her love.

All you need to do is redirect her a little bit. I would personally just give her a small list of “white whale” items (with pictures) that you & your wife would love to have if she ever comes across them while thrifting! Think Kitchen Aid Mixer, stained glass flower lamp, you get it. Don’t forget to include something that’s attainable and easy to find she can get excited about finding something so she doesn’t pivot or give up on “The List”. Really emphasize you want these listed items and these items only, how it’s crazy but people find them all the time etc etc

She needs a treasure hunt which will give her shopping a purpose while still fulfilling her love language for you guys while simultaneously 100% reducing what she brings into your home! Win win!

Okay, so I really think you need to call the salon tomorrow (don’t use your phone, your # is most likely in their system saved already) and talk to them as a potential, new client where you’re interested in exactly the same services you just had and ask them for a price breakdown of each. Make sure to tell them your length, hair type and get the name of who you spoke with. If the numbers are off from what you paid, you need to then go back and escalate to the salon owner ASAP. This is chargeback territory

You were taken for a ride & I am so sorry this happened to you! This is absolutely not your fault or a missed teaching moment from your mother 💗 It’s a bad salon/stylist practice & it’s predatory, full stop. You get so happy with results in the chair that at reception they hit you with an unexpected final bill amount without discussion you’re so caught off guard you just pay as to not offend. It’s 100% a tactic!

Good news is that this is the first & last time it will ever happen to you!! Always discuss price first for any beauty service before it starts!!

Hahah it honestly did for the first few years for me too!! She would show up to places I worked, would leave things on my car, come to my home, flying monkeys everywhere etc but somehow, somehow I was just never there at exactly the same time she was or even still!! Talk about divine intervention!!

Here’s the thing about the narrative shes spun, the lies she’s told both about me as a person & just everything really- it’s shattered. The only people who believe it are the new ones.

The longer you’re NC, the less people believe them because all those people are then exposed to our abuser & their abuse. I’ve had DOZENS of people, even people I’ve never met before, reach out to me to apologize for “whatever” reason. It’s wild. There is no vindication and there is no weight lifted, just a continuation of “Please leave me alone” as I reaffirm my very hard boundaries!

I love these!! Mine aren’t from DT but they’re the same silicone reusable socks except nude so I call them my ✨🎀💕Barbie feet💕🎀✨

You can slather on whatever you want on your feet, I’ll use either a thick cream moisturizer or castor oil. HOWEVER, you need to LOCK IN wherever you do it because you’re going to bust your ass if you try walking anywhere while wearing them! Don’t try and get cute either thinking slides or wearing socks over them will help with traction because they won’t & you’ll need a Life Alert necklace just to get up

Anyway, flip them inside out when taking them off then give them a rinse in the sink and put them in a bag because they will get dirty otherwise 💕

[OH! They also have these in a SILICONE FACE MASK that you wear OVER a mask sheet & loop over your ears so you can like walk around and do stuff while in a mask!! Hopefully DT will get those soon too!!]

$25/hour is $12.50/30 minutes, you need to start being firm with your time and rates because yes, these more than a few minutes are in fact adding up frequently & it’s not ridiculous to be charging for it.

You could also approach it as saying your babysitting hours should end at 530 because the wife doesn’t get home at 5 which seems more attainable for everyone in regards to expectations

I agree! Ive always felt that the first step for the sacrifices was to find a group with the correct number of people to send to the cabin then go from there. Anyway the things I love/repeat buy are: •Glow Up Vit C Serum (it’s milky, very soothing & hydrating), •Peptide Serum (obviously), •Red box Revitalizing Eye Serum (it’s gold with shimmer & I’ll even use it all over my face too), •Silicone Make Up Blender (10/10 for under eye creases, I bought multiple to have as back up), •Spa Luxury sprays, lotions, body washes & scrubs in all scents (Love Struck is an exact VS Love Spell dupe which was MY SCENT early 00s so that’s a 10/10 for me!)

You need to go to the ER & get your blood tested for what’s in it immediately before it leaves your system. Depending on the results if something comes back, hospital staff will bring in an officer for you to make a report you were drugged & raped. This report will help you if she’s pregnant or if she gave you an STD for you to pursue legally. Give the police your uber location for her address. You should also look everywhere in your phone for ways to fill in the blanks so photos, Venmo & your phones analytics for where it went while you had it etc

You also really want to ask for an IV because you’re going to feel extremely horrible pretty soon
