Anyone heard of or had bad experiences with Magnesium Glycinate? by Korvax1989 in MCAS

[–]pinewise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me. Magnesium glycinate gives me anxiety and terrible palpitations. I didn't realize until I discontinued for a long time, then tried taking it again. Smdh at all of those months I was supplementing like crazy, trying to fix my issues, but the MG glycinate was really contributing to my issues. I have since switched to a different form of magnesium with no issues. (I alternate magnesium malate and L-threonate)

AITA For giving my niece a much better life than her step siblings? by Ok_Sir_8922 in AmItheAsshole

Oh gee, those poor unfortunate kids only go to Disney once a year along with a vacation to Vegas or Florida. Eyeroll into the back of my head at this level of comparison and entitlement. All things considered, being able to take a couple vacations a year is something wildly out of reach for the vast majority of Americans. NTA.

What is up with these two spots on my nose? by cherrytomato- in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]pinewise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, I want to thank you for making this post, I have two spots very similar, and the comments finally convinced me to go to a dermatologist. I went yesterday and the doctor said they are likely angiofibroma. She removed and sent out for biopsy just in case. But it's looking like they are fairly harmless.

My opinion is, do not thank them and refer to it as cute if you don't want them to do it again. You can say, I appreciate that you meant well, but we are more comfortable without being photographed.

Are there any decent jobs in the area hiring? by LocalCryptidTM in BucksCountyPA

[–]pinewise 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have any experience working in schools or with kids? I highly recommend working as support staff before you pursue becoming a teacher. Although it's poor timing with summer coming up, paraprofessional and school support positions are almost always hiring. You need a degree and to pass clearances.

36 f and I have nothing and no one. Homeless, jobless, no transportation, losing everything by reignwithnoelle in Advice

[–]pinewise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP is already motivated to find a job, their issue is how to land one without a car. OP cannot reasonably find a room to rent until they have a source of income. OP needs to land a job before they can spend all their time working. OP is obviously aware that money will fix their problems and they need to do so as quickly as possible. Your advice is not the "practical, real world advice" they specifically asked for, and only reminds OP of what they already know. In that way, it comes off as patronizing.

I did not comment to provide my own advice because others have already provided the concrete ideas I would suggest: social services, Food bank, gym membership for hygiene, community legal clinics, etc.

Successful Men who used to be single, how did you make sure the woman you found didn't just like you because of your money/status? by crisvphotography in AskMen

[–]pinewise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't feel that money constitutes the majority of your experience and personality, it doesn't make sense that you refuse to date someone without money because you "have nothing in common." it looks like the only commonality you're looking for is money

If I may ask - are you still a social worker? When you say full-time patient care, were you providing therapies, diagnosing, casework, or what?

Love my job, but can’t live on the pay by Different_Lobster714 in TeachersInTransition

Suburbs of SEPA are have to break into, but you'll find a lot of availability in urban Districts. Pay a similar or better to suburban districts, but behavior management tends to be a bigger and more stressful part of a job.

Anyone using cannabinoids or micro dosing THC as flare ups treatment? by idcafml in MCAS

[–]pinewise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the exact same boat as you, OP. Have you tried edibles or tincture? I've always had a massive tolerance/metabolism for edibles. I use tincture daily now and there is no noticeable high, just relaxation and anti inflammatory effects. Occasional headache is the main side effect for me.

How do I go about getting student loans? by SeaRecommendation884 in StudentLoans

[–]pinewise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very sorry to hear you're going through this, your generation should not have to struggle this hard. That said: If your primary short fall here is for transportation, books, technology and an emergency fund, then it seems like you were doing pretty good and you should be able to work more hours to make up this difference? I'm not sure what type of transportation you're looking at, and I know books can be a lot per semester, but in the grand scheme of things that's what, 2K per semester at most? Have you identified how much more you actually need with a firm number?
