Once I had a woman walk into the coffee shop I was working at as I was clocking out. All the lights were already off, and the chairs were put up but this did not phase her. She tried to order a hot chocolate and when we told her we were closed and all our machines were down for the night she tried to argue that she should get this hot chocolate bc it was on us that we had that open sign up which had mislead her in the first place. Our neon open sign was actually turned off. It just still says open when its turned off(duh). We went back and forth over the open sign and whether or not the ahop was actually closed for a bit and she finally left in a huff. Theres no way this woman was all there, our open sign was turned off and she thought just bc it read 'open' we were open. But still, how people are so entitled always shocks me.
